Fantastic location, very nice people, easy to arrange a pickup from the airport, fantastic breakfast. (This might be obvious, but the boat is secured and not floating so there’s no seasickness 🤣)

The proximity to the airport is very helpful for those early morning flights to Frankfurt! The hotel itself is very modern and feels like a high-end resort. It’s very modern and the service, food, ambiance are all top-tier. You feel like you step into another world when coming to the Hotel Mirror. I’ve stayed there a few times now, and every single time feels amazing.

Skopje is, well, how can I put this, unusual. The old Ottoman part of town is pleasant, though it cannot compare to Mostar or Sarajevo or even Prizren. The modern city is a collection of vulgar monuments and hideous new builds, all made out of concrete and faced with marble or some other cladding, and all looking pretty tatty without ever having had the dignity of growing old. It has to be seen to be believed. It is iso awful it is almost good. The regime's buildings are not helped by the litter, piles of filth and graffiti everywhere. As for the old buildings, many of them have been over-restored and are effectively replicas of old buildings: this is particularly true of the castle at the top of the hill. I wouldn't say I regret going, and the memory will certainly persist.

Amazing city with a lot of history.
Amazing city with a lot of history. Ulica Macedonia is amazing, with lot of cafes and restaurants. The Old Bazaar offers a glimpse to the history with the Ottoman empire. Lots of monuments from the reach Macedonian history (from Alexander the Great to now). Lots to do if you are an outdoorsy type. You can take the cable car and go to Vodno for some spectacular views and hiking. Canyon Matka is near by with amazing views as well. The nightlife is really good with a lot of choices. The prices are cheaper than the rest of Europe, so you get more for less. I will visit again and will spend more time in Ohrid (Medieval town on a lake, and Kokino (bronze age observatory)..

Skopje is a beutiful city with lots of culture and history, lots of very nice traditional restaurants and some very nice walks. The river Vader runs through the middle of the city. One of the bridges over it is 500 years old! Be sure to visit m vodno mountain. Home of the larges cross in Europe, cable car journey to the top is 1 euro per person, you can see right across the city. Also vodno is good for people hiking or mountain biking. There is plenty of refreshments at the top and lots of areas to relax.

There are many errors in the listing.
There are many errors in the listing. The reception is closed from 10 PM till 8 AM. There is no bar (I don't use anyway). There is no seating area in the room, except for a straight backed chair at the desk. There is no in-house restaurant. The only meal available is breakfast, served at 8 AM. It's not a continental breakfast. There is one set menu: orange juice, omelette, a cheese sandwich, lots of sliced bread and coffee.

Skopje city center still seems to be an undiscovered city...
Skopje city center still seems to be an undiscovered city for many western traveller's and is a must see even for a day or two. It is relatively small, safe and still cheap compared to other cities. The people were all friendly and went out of their way to assist and guide. The city is relatively flat so easy walking and a mixture of new and old architecture. As always construction still taking place in parts.

Absolutly crazy architecture, designed by Polish architects...
Absolutly crazy architecture, designed by Polish architects after disastrous earhquake in 60. Amazing shuk. Great Makedonian wine (my favourites: Bile makedonskie from Stobi and dry white Aleksandria from Tikvesh). Nice, cool, people, speaking English. Friendly town dogs. River bank and parks. Absolutely my favourite capital and country in Europe. Hope Makedonia soon joins EU.
It was my first time in Macedonia and all my colleagues that had been before told me that it is a beautiful country and that the people are warm and welcoming. I was so pleased that this was true and especially happy about the staff and the overall experience in the hotel! From check in to check out everything was amazing! The on site restaurant had delicious local food and the breakfast buffet was very well made! The rooms are renovated and the beds are very comfy! Especially satisfied with the pillow menus as well! 10/10
The hosts were exceptionally accommodating, spoke English, provided everything we needed and asked for, even picked us up from the airport when we can in. The location is close to several markets, restaurants, everything you could want within walking distance…quiet at night and on the major bus lines to go anywhere in Skopje. Being our first time and coming from Canada this was a a perfect introduction to Macedonia to get settled in. I can’t recommend this place enough and very thankful we found it. Great value for money!
What a lovely place very close from Skopje city centre. The old bazaar and Macedonia Square are at 10 min from Vila Nina. The price is very honest and worth it. The rooms are well equipped and clean, and there is also a little fridge, which is practical for water storage. Last but not least, Goran and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this familial hotel.
What a beautiful hotel. Not right in the centre of the city , only 2km away but a five minute drive in a taxi, taxis are very cheap. It also has an incredible restaurant which was full every lunchtime and evening. It was full for a reason. But the best thing about the hotel was the staff, who were so helpful and kind to me and my friends on our first visit to Skopje.
This is the best hotel in Skopje if we take into consideration the overall experience: it is spacious, the interior design of the lobby, the rooms and the spa is warm and welcoming, cleanliness is very good and exceeds the expectation for macedonian standars, and, most importantly, it is good value for money.
In the center of Skoplje. Very close almost to anything. Room was big, clean with nice view, but mind you I was not in "hotel" than they took me into "bed and breakfast" part. Essentially it's converted apartment on I think 3rd floor. I saw their hotel rooms - very small with terrible view so avoid that.
Great location, very close to city center. It is obvious that someone invested towards the interior design. Breakfast was good also. They have limited parking spots inside the courtyard (just for drop-off/pick-up), but they'll take your car to a parking which is behind the hotel (valet service).
Absolutely wonderful little hotel, clean, comfortable, and perfect location. The restaurant is the best in town. The pasta dishes are wonderful. And everyone, from the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the restaurant staff, are all lovely! This was a perfect stay. 5 stars for everything!
Very nice hotel in the center of Skopje. The room was clean, small and cozy. It is rather for short stay. definetly the biggest advantage was Service. Special thanks to Katerina (reception) and Elizabeth (restaurant) for hospitality!!!
Great location, 5 minutes away from city center, new hotel, beautiful and modern design, profesional staff, very clean and delicios and many options at breakfast. I strongly recommend it and for sure, I will come back.
The hotel is located in the city center with easy access to most of the facilities.
The reception staff are very kind and polite😉.
I would recommend this place to anyone who comes to Skopje for business or leisure.
With just a few steps you are in the old Bazaar and 5 min walk from Skopje center.Shops.and cafes are all around the hotel plus taxis are a stone throw away.......perfekt place for a short stay.
I always come back to Best Western hotel, my favorite in the city center of Skopje, after trying a few others, this is definitely the best and the location is perfect !
