This location has a good supermarket.
This location has a good supermarket. It is easy to reach Kotor, Budva, Cetinje by bus from Tivat. Tivat has an art museum and a nautical museum. There is also a place to rent electric bicycles and SUP. Several local people recommended we eat at the restaurant Big Ben because of the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. They were right.
Tivat also has public beaches, as does Budva
There is also a hiking trail, which I believe takes you over the mountain to Kotor.
I did meet somebody who recommended Cetinje as a base. It is further from the ocean, but the price of accommodation may be more reasonable.

Great location, very relaxing and peaceful. Great for exploring nearby areas.. Outdoor terrace was wonderful with views of the Bay and sunsets. Close to local mini grocery store and Voli supermarket. Hosts Sime and Helga recommended boat trip of Kotor Bay on the Katica boat which was lovely. 6 hours for 15 euros each would recommend.

I came to Tivat for a family meeting and knew nothing about it.
Tivat. Well, if you want to see the Rich And Famous, this is your kind of place. The marina is filled with oligarch's yachts and there is, for example, a Rolex factory store. I got chased off a terrace by some belligerent hotel staff for 'sitting in the wrong place'! Haha! Whatever.
However, it's entirely possible to get VERY nice lodging for not terribly expensive, 20-30-Euros/night, in the older Tito-era Bloks. There are local bars with 3-Euro beers on tap. There are grocery stores and bakeries like anywhere else. Also, Tivat is surrounded by ancient monasteries, churches; bus service to other locales like Kotor is easy.
So it doesn't have to be Monaco banging Rodeo Drive and it wasn't like that for me.

Tivat is better seen than told! This goes for the whole Montenegro! Tivat bay is the playground for billionaires' yachts and boats. The air is clean. And there's beauty in nature all around. Only problem we had was people smoking inside the restaurants, bars virtually public indoor places. Visit La Tua Casa up the street from the port for the best fresh mixed meat grill and bolognese. Getting around is easy, easy to walk but also Taxi are readily available. Always use the branded taxi and make sure meter starts at 1

Montenegro has incredible swimming spots. You have the choice of swimming in Boka Bay surrounded by the mountains, or take a short drive to Lustica and swim in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. A truly spectacular place to explore!
It’s a good and nice place , the owners treated us like we’re family, they’re amazing people with amazing kid’s. The prizing is also worth it. Not far from the beach 🏖 and the food stores are at reach for just five minutes walk. The workers will helps with whatever you need; the moment you arrive you’ll automatically feel at home.( you have kitchen to cook your own food)
If I get to visit Montenegro again, Tivat will be my first stop and Hostel Anton is the LOCATION no doubt. 😉
This was a truly amazing vacation for our family. The location is perfect, especially if you fly to Tivat: close to the airport, Tivat and Kotor are close, a small supermarket is just across the road and a large one 10 minutes drive, no parking problems. The waterfront is clean, you can use sunbeds and sunshade, you can fully enjoy it (beaches in Montenegro are quite small and crowded). Also we could use a SUP board, kayak and even fishing rods, got a boat tour on Tivat bay.
Very modern and beautiful hotel. great value for money. located 5 min from air port which was important to us ans yet there was no airplane noise !
room was big but bathroom very small. we had poor water stream and issue with cold and warm water. we did not bother to ask for repair as we stayed one night buy I'm sure they were handling it ok id we did

It’s a spacious one-bedroom apartment located in the door step of Porto Montenegro. This apartment enjoys two balconies, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The facilities are superb with a washing machine and dishwasher. The host is very helpful and friendly. I didn’t know how to turn on the washing machine, she came over to the apartment and help me turn it on. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who’s visiting Tivat!
They started to take care of us before we even went to Montenegro. Since we were on our honeymoon, they gave us a very nice upgrade room and every evening when we went to the room, they left a gift in the room. Since we could not have breakfast on the last morning at the hotel, they left breakfast snacks and fruit. We recommended this place to all our friends going to Montenegro. Thank you for giving us a very nice stay experience.
The most thing I like there is a bidet on the toilet.
One more thing the location is amazing it is between Tivat and kotor 10 mins away if there is no traffic jam. Comparing to the other hotels advantages, location and price, it is the best choice and highly recommended. The stuff there are friendly and very supportive. Thanks for the Ana and others stuff on the reception I don’t recall there name.
Hosts were amazing. They were really helpful and friendly. Apartment is very close to the beach, you will easily be able to enjoy the sea whenever you would like. Especially for the guests with car, Apartmani Ivana will be a very good choice. Attraction points like Waikiki Beach and Porto Montenegro are not too far. We were happy with the location.
This apartment is very functional, it had everything we needed for our long-term stay and felt like home on the very first night. The location is great: minutes from the beach and Porto Montenegro, and right next door to a very good restaurant. Angella is a nice and very accommodating host. We will definitely go again and warmly recommend it.

The hotel location is perfect, it is 5 minutes (on feet) away from Porto Montenegro and 30 minutes away from the airport. Yes, I mean you can just WALK from the airport to the hotel. Bathroom was perfectly clean, probably it was the cleanest bathroom I saw at the hotels recently.

Everything was great. The apartment was very clean (the cleanest apartment in my life) and cozy. And if you have a car - you can ask for a garage key. The location is great, because there are City Market, Porto Montenegro and Main Street nearby.
