We had a room on the third floor, everything was clean, the shower worked and the water drained out :) There was a refrigerator and a fan in the room.
Breakfast in the café-restaurant includes salad, fried eggs, vegetables, buns, coffee, juice, water, sausages, and cold meats. Everything was delicious!

Interesting castle close to the hotel with good water activities offered on the river. Did not use public transport but had a hire car. The streets in general were well maintained and well signposted so that getting around Jelgava by car was easy.

I adored the city.
I adored the city. It is a nice mixture of historical sights and nature. The riverside and the island are wonderful and it is really nice to walk in the streets. We came by car and there were a lot of parking places. If you don't wanna walk too much, there are plenty of electric scooters too.

I couldn't say that Jelgava has a lot of attractions (especially in winter during Covid, hehe), but for a short visit it was pleasant and entertaining. Ice sculptures served as a main attraction with general city illumination nicely adding to it, while a great steak served in PARKS restaurant did well to make for a complete evening.

Jelgava is an old and beautiful city but with a very young heart, as it hosts the University of Technology and Life Sciences (formerly University of Agriculture) now in the divine Rennaisance building of the old university. Much opportunities for sightseeing and slow enjoyment of the city mood, fine dining, various events like Bread and Milk Festival the next weekend, etc.
A very bright and clean apartment - suited perfectly even for a longer stay (mine was 16 days) with a washing mashing and all the things necessary for cooking a meal. The apartment is perfectly located to access all the sites in Jelgava and its surroundings and many of Jelgava’s restaurants.
Most importantly though- the view from the balcony- has to be seen. Would stay again in a heartbeat
Location is great! Staff including the cleaning ladies were all very friendly and professional! I have travelled the world and stayed in 5 star hotels. I can say with full confidence that the chef's here are some of the best! We didn't eat anywhere else because we knew the food would be good at the hotel!! Will definitely come back and visit again!!
Jelgava is an interesting place that probably not many tourists go to, but the palace is quite nice and Hotel Zemgale is reasonably close to it. When I arrived, I had forgotten that breakfast is included, which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Overall a good deal.
I was surprised that in Latvia, there is something at that level with such a low price. Lanlords are very polite and friendly, even when I was calling at 23:00 to ask a pass from the house - they have always been online. The flat itself got even robo hoover. Everything was great!
The young lady with braces at the front desk was very lovely and professional. The hotel was exceptionally clean and quiet. The room was perfectly sized for my family, though the temperature was quite warm. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to others.
The apartment is in a good location. Near the Jelgava castle and the island with sand sculptures.
Didn't hear any neighbors so the night was very quiet. Easy to check in because the key is in the locker near the doors. No problems to find a parking space. Very nice owner.
Great value. The beds were comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Located in a quiet part of town. Gated parking lot. I was cozy and warm (we were there during 0 degree temperatures). We will stay again when we are in Jelgava. Best value in Jelgava.
The location is ideal for visiting the lovely city of Jelgava. A small car parking slot to the rear of the property. All modern appliance's to make your stay more convenient. Would highly recommend the Raina apartment. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Lovely historical building with spacious rooms. Also functions as hostel but the rooms with shower are hotel quality for sure. Staff super friendly and helps out and showed all the facilities. Large garden with pond/'lake'.
The hotel staff was kind and helpful. The room was clean and well organised, incl kitchenette.
Location in quiet neighborhood, but still close to the central area.
Garden for playing, grilling and chilling.
Looks exactly like pictures, felt like home in this apartment the host was amazing even told us where to visit in jelgava … whenever I come down again definitely staying only there from now on☺️
Oh this hotel reminded me Swiss, German, Austrian family
hotels. Clean, cozy, calm. Breakfast ok, in the restaurant nearby.
Hot fresh croissants and well known in Baltics white salad…:)
