A nice costal city with mixed culture. There are a lot places you can visit including religious and colonial-era attractions. Beaches around the city are some of the best beaches you can find in the world. The city is located around the world's largest natural harbor.

The property is in a good location. The surrounding areas are very nice.
The staff behaviour was somewhat similar to un-accommodating . Trying to be polite but no for every request.
The food spread for dinner buffet was very limited and also not so tasty. Not worth the money.
Overall not worth the money spent, though they said it was peak season but not seen the Hotel booked to the capacity. The prices were exorbitantly high.

Great beaches, we were well to the North end and it was a bit more developed with tourist facilities. The rest, including Dutch Bay were much less developed. Friendly people, high quality food (with prices to match but we got great food so were fine with it).

Near the beach you can do a lot and our children enjoyed it. Lots of places to eat. Good prices for food and drinks if you look at the right place. Activities like snorkeling or dolphin watching are too expensive for what you get. Prices for tourist activities are reaching the level of european countries. Use apps for tuktuk costs.

Its a great Eastern side town to visit.
Its a great Eastern side town to visit. The Koneswaram temple is an ancient one steeped in history going back hundreds of years. The town has many activities to do. This is if the brilliant beaches dont keep you lazing around.
I think this might be the best location in Trincomalee. The rooms are just in front of Sandy Bay Beach, a small beach perfect to swim and relax. You will see friendly fishermen collecting their nets, this was one of the top memories we have from Sri Lanka. The fort is 45 minute walking, but a short ride with tuk tuk.
The family running the homestay is kind and helpful, and they prepare a very good sri lankan breakfast. We totally reccommend staying here.
Food food and food 👌 The hotel is one of the best in Trincomalee. Rooms super comfortable. Sleep super good. But something really sticking out: the owner. Have never seen man with such an honest smile. Will never forget this. For 3 nights we were eating at his place and so far this has been the best food in Sri Lanka. Hope to be able to come again.
