This is a basic hotel with a large room and a reasonable-sized bathroom that is kept clean.
The hotel borders a forecast, and the hotel grounds are covered with various types of trees and plants. In the morning, various birds bird chirping give us a feeling we are in the middle of a forest. A swimming pool is located in the middle of the hotel grounds.
The rooms were kept clean with a large bed. Comfortable mattresses (firmness 4.5 out of 5).
The bathroom is simple but kept clean.
Laundry service is available – single washing machine and tumble dryer usage costs circa £10. That is reasonable compared to many other hotels.
The restaurant is available, and the food is reasonable, but it has a limited menu. On the main road, a 15-minute walk from the Hotel, a few restaurants and convenient shops are located.
Staff – All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Willing to go the extra mile to give us the satisfaction.
Note: The visitors were advised not to venture out of the hotel without guidance after 7 pm due to the presence of wild elephants.
I will return to this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lario. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Rita and Roshan, and the super friendly staff. They helped us book a tuk tuk for an early visit to Sigyria.
Our room was big and nicely decorated. A/C worked well. And you can pay your stay by card! 100% recommended!

It was a very expensive entry fee to the rock, USD32 per person. The guides around the base are very persistent and can become a nuisance. We had a good tuk tuk ride round the base, which was lovely and booked privately, oh and it's perfectly ok to haggle on the price.
Plenty of local cafes and juice bars. Fab place was The Green Hut Hotel, just 10 mins walk from Lion Rock, lovely rooms, great English speaking host and super food. Local temple worth a 15 minute look see.
Tuk tuks everywhere and good value.
Safari to Minneriya was great, saw loads of elephants.

We spend one night here.
We spend one night here. Depending on what you want to do it was plenty of time. We arrived in the early afternoon checked into our accommodation and went to Dambulla Cave Temple. The following morning we got up before sunrise to climb Lion Rock, which despite what people say, is worth it. The fee was acceptable for us since it is a UNESCO site. After the hike we had breakfast and made our way further south.

What a wonderful location!
What a wonderful location! The pool was a true blessing after our exhausting flight, and the environment is quite soothing. Asanka's meal was incredibly delicious. The personnel was really helpful!
We had such a lovely stay at Shady Mango Villa! The room we had was huge, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and included eggs, pancakes, fruit, yogurt and toasties and the location is a close walk to a few great restaurants and a short drive to Sigiriya and Pidurangala.
The family are so sweet, kind and accommodating and made us feel very at home - Sunil has a tuk tuk and is a tour guide so took us to Dambulla Cave Temple and Pidurangala Rock. Thank you again for such a lovely stay 🥰
The resort is very peaceful but within easy reach of Sigiriya, national parks and Dambulla. The food is good and the facilities well maintained. What really makes it is the staff, they are attentive and helpful. We arrived early for check-in and the gentleman on reception ensured our room was ready quickly. They assisted in arranging transfers and trips, all of which were brilliant. Sadly we did not get the names of all the lovely people who looked after us but a special thanks to Wimukthi who was brilliant.
The people that run this place are the living embodiment of kindness. The guy will help you arrange your travels and make sure you’re paying correct prices, and can offer tourist and tuktuk services also very well priced. The woman cooks very well- say yes to chicken and curry! They also have two daughters that are also smart and kind. The garden is lovely and you will enjoy taking your tea there. I could just go on and on. Look no further- this is the best place in sigiriya.
This is the best place in Sigiriya because I felt all the authenticity and love of Sri Lanka there. The best breakfast and lunch at Jayanti's, prepared with love. Jayanti also feeds chipmunks and birds you can watchthese animals during lunch as the feeding station is opposite the dining table. Comfortable and clean roomswith all amenities. If you want to experience the real Sri Lankan village life, this is the place to be! Thanks Jayanthi
You can get good fresh food for cheaper than outside restaurants. Breakfast is very big. They have beers, cocktails and other drinks. Also possible to have some events with them. We did camping with Maliya. He showed us great places around Sigiriya. Maliya was our best guide. Every day they have least one or two useful group activities. Don't think twice, this is best place for you.
the staff at Sigiriya Kele were incredible, they were always around to offer the best tips on what to do and where to go. We ate dinner here on the first night and it was amazing, the breakfast was also the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The hotel has great pool facilities which are perfect for relaxing after climbing Lions Rock. Location is also good only a 1km walk to the town.
Wonderful family run hotel set in a beautiful large garden full of wildlife! The room was large, clean and an extremely comfy large bed. Breakfast is large and delicious & be sure to eat in the hotel for at least one night you will not regret it, best curry in Sigiriya! For money, there is no better in Sigiriya!

Hotel with the best value-for-price we had in Sri Lanka. We paid around 20€ for one night in a very comfortable and clean room and could use the very clean pool. Breakfast was great. It’s a bit away from Sigiriya rock, but the employees bring you there and pick you up with their tuk-tuk for a reasonable price, same for the transfer to the railway station.
One of the best accommodations experience within my travel. Hosts are exceptional, easy to work with to arrange transportation within Sigiriya, and the pick up from the train station. Breakfast is beyond amazing. The cottage is spacious and super clean. The territory is quiet and safe. I will definitely choose to stay here again if I am back in Sigiriya.
Situated right in the jungle of Sigiryia this is a beautiful, clean and comfortable home stay so close to Lion’s Rock and 20 mins drive for safari and Dambulla Cave Temple. i loved in this property hearing the beautiful birds and nature surrounding you but so close to the little village. a perfect little sanctuary.
Literally the best hotel in Sri Lanka for our 3 weeks trip. Just opened in mid-march '24 (we were first booking.com guests) - all equipment and supplies are brand new and good quality. Nice clean & pure design of rooms. Good breakfast. Excellent pool. Definitely worth the money. Best recommendations.
I really liked the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of all of the staff! Priyantha and his whole family are so kind and giving. They helped us arrange transport, helped us do our laundry, and fed us the best breakfast. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a homey feeling when in Sigiriya.

Nice place to stay when visiting Sigiriya. They provided Tuktuk transportation for an early morning (5:30am) visit to Sigiriya, which is the best time to go to avoid the heat and crowds. Nice pool and good breakfast and of course the wonderful Sri Lankan hospitality
The Sigiriya Paradise Inn is a real hidden gem run by a extremely kind family. We booked an additional night as the view is amazing. It was the best hotel during our 4 weeks stay in Sri Lanka and their hoppers are the best.😋
