This place is truly magical! I never felt so welcomed anywhere in the world. The staff is amazing, so kind and helpful, very caring. The room is lovely and the views unforgettable. In terms of food, breakfast is beyond delicious, and we were also lucky to try some local fruit from the trees around the hotel. Oh and we saw so many animals in the area - colourful birds, monkeys, and even elephants. I wish we booked for more than 2 nights - it’s absolutely the best place to stay in Sigiriya!

A beautiful hotel staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet really nice lots of choices. Had an evening meal, for such a large hotel prices very reasonable. Had a problem with the bath reported it, was repaired with 30 minutes. Great service. Will be going back.

Sigiriya was wonderful!
Sigiriya was wonderful! Climbing this rock and Pidurangala Rock at sunset was an awesome experience. I did it on separate days. Each has its beauty and aura about them.
I had a great massage on 2 days in a row after the climb.
We also visited the Minneriya National Park. This is the park to visit if you want to see herds of elephants! From big to baby ones, single to herds. Even the ones with tusks. It was rare and super cool! They got them all!

So much to do and see!
So much to do and see! 3 nights is plenty, but easy to fill it! Climb the rock, absolutely do a village tour; go for a herbal massage (but prepare for a different kind of massage to normal!); and go on safari! We had a driver which made getting around super easy, but there are countless tuktuks you can rent.

It was a very expensive entry fee to the rock, USD32 per person. The guides around the base are very persistent and can become a nuisance. We had a good tuk tuk ride round the base, which was lovely and booked privately, oh and it's perfectly ok to haggle on the price.
Plenty of local cafes and juice bars. Fab place was The Green Hut Hotel, just 10 mins walk from Lion Rock, lovely rooms, great English speaking host and super food. Local temple worth a 15 minute look see.
Tuk tuks everywhere and good value.
Safari to Minneriya was great, saw loads of elephants.
Very friendly and helpful staff, who helped us to arrange a TukTuk driver to visit Pidurangala and Dambulla Cave temple. Newly opened hotel with large rooms, spectacular bathroom and stunning views into the nature and sigyria rock. We enjoyed the pool and the views from the restaurant. Mango juice was delicious in the morning 🥭. Just note that there’s the option to have dinner, as the town with all restaurants is 20 minutes away by vehicle.
The place was extremely good value for money and it is an incredible good bargain - I could not believe it did not yet have 5 stars!
The forest sounds made you feel one with nature; while maintaining the standards of a luxury room. The food was also first class.
The staff was also brilliant as they helped us numerous time and were always flexible and accomodating .

The host Ashoka was very warm and welcoming. He gave me tips on sites to see whilst in Sigiriya and personally drove me to Lions Rock, Pidurangala Rock and Dambulla.
The accomodation was very clean and modern and Breakfast and dinner was delicious. I definitely recommend this place, my stay was perfect and Ashoka went out of his way to make sure I was well accommodated.
Wonderful family run hotel set in a beautiful large garden full of wildlife! The room was large, clean and an extremely comfy large bed. Breakfast is large and delicious & be sure to eat in the hotel for at least one night you will not regret it, best curry in Sigiriya! For money, there is no better in Sigiriya!
PS the Hurulu safari through the hotel is amazing!
The Sigiriya Paradise Inn is a real hidden gem run by a extremely kind family. We booked an additional night as the view is amazing. It was the best hotel during our 4 weeks stay in Sri Lanka and their hoppers are the best.😋
