We had to make a last minute booking and reached the hotel around midnight. The staff received us. It's a great hotel in a great location with all the amenities. Has a in-house restaurant as well where we had our breakfast. The room was nice clean and spacious. Bathroom as well. No complaints.

The hotel is on the hills and can be a bit hard to drive to but our driver had no problem, to be honest.

it's great place but for foreigner they charge fees for everything such as entry fee to enter the place to visit and there is no any free facility which is not good. as a traveler we are going to visit city and promote the city on our social networks therefore we should have some facility to get some exempt the charges to view more about city.
every attraction they have entry fee.

A good place for visiting the Horton Plains National Park- negociate locally for the 40 min drive in a Tuk Tuk ( 9000 lks is about right). It has a nice lake to walk around. The Rough Guide though old is still very useful. The centre is small and compact with good facilities .. The exception is the 'Tourist Office' close to the bus station.. It is close to useless - dont look for impartial advice as the owner has his own Tuk Tuk!. Victora Park is worth a stroll.

Quaint little town in the hills. So, cooler climate and perfect spot to take a break from the sweltering heat in Colombo. La Grande Villa is just a 10 minute walk from town and a 5 bedroom boutique hotel, which makes it the ideal place for a quiet, restful stop before Ella.

Nuwara Eliya is a sleepy town nestled within acres of tea estates , which has maintained a lot of its colonial buildings that it almost looks like a different country altogether. Hence the name Little England.
It is best suited for an Individual or family that is looking to just relax at one property with great views , dabble in luxury (there are a few options) , do a little bit of sightseeing (all nature related) and experience the architecture of the town itself. It’s non-touristy.. None of the places we visited were crowded or dirty. The town sleeps by 10pm.

we spent 2 days in the off season (mid feb 2024) which was perfect, no overcrowding, mad traffic and great weather. We stayed 1 night in a studio apartment and 1 night at a small guest house both were perfectly maintained and very nice accommodations well worth the price.
check the weather and go in the off season to enjoy and relax in NE as it should be done!
We had an absolutely awesome stay at Delphine Hotel in Nuwara Eliya! The room was not only comfortable and clean but also provided a nice view, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The room matched the images on booking.com perfectly, and the beds were cozy. The washroom was spotless, and hot water was available. The breakfast was delicious.
A special shout-out to Mr. Selvam and his daughter, who are taking care of the property with utmost professionalism, kindness, and friendliness. They were really awesome.
We booked 2 rooms for 3 people. 5 nights. King's lodge is the perfect place to enjoy nuwara eliya. Lovely hosts, wonderful breakfast, great view and clean and nice rooms! Breakfast was every day different. English with toast and jam. Sri lankan with string hoppers, curry and cocos sambal. We catched some rainy days so we spent more time in the hotel as we usually would. Every evening the owners brought some tee for free. They also organized taxi and tuk tuk for us. Thx for the service. Would book again!

We arrived late at this hotel and were warmly greeted by staff who spoke little English. A few things got lost in translation but we got there in the end. The whole hotel was like stepping back in time, the rooms, the dining room, fine china service at breakfast. The Firs was definately good value for money when we saw the view over Nuwara Eliya and met wild ponies out the front. The Firs is old fashion with a sort of "Faulty Towers" feel about it but I would stay here again.
Well located considering that Nuwara Eliya is quite a small town. It is just outside of the city centre, quick access to famous Grand Hotel. Room was clean, very spacious, coffee/tea available in the room + other equipment (iron, scale ;), etc). The bathroom was well equipped, very nice shower with nice pressure and hot water. Breakfast was quite fulfilling with different choices according to taste. All in all a great homestay, we felt comfortable.
Just stayed at The Ramp in Nuwara Eliya. Really impressed! The owner and staff are super nice and helpful. They helped me with everything I needed, like finding things to do and places to eat.
The hotel itself is good too. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Plus, the location is perfect - close to everything in town.
Overall, great value for money. If you're looking for a friendly and convenient place to stay in Nuwara Eliya, The Ramp is the spot!
Reliable choice as a chilled place to base yourself when visiting Nuwara Eliya. The host is thoughtful and gave great tips on things to do on Nuwara Eliya. Such a beautiful cottage with all the necessities for a lovely getaway. Kitchenette with everything you need to cook at home. Outdoor sitting area to relax. Honestly feels like it was designed to live in, it has all the touches of home. Better than many hotels I’ve experienced.
Everything was perfect. They greeted us with hot tea. It was perfect for cold climates. The bedroom is designed so as not to damage the antiquity of this bungalow. The room was quite warm. So there was no need for a heater. The team is always willing to help. Here can enjoy both sri lankan breakfast and English breakfast.
I highly recommend this bungalow to all who visit Nuwara Eliya.

The family that manages the cottage is as attentive, caring and sweet as possible. Our two nights in the hotel was wonderful. breakfasts are good, it is tea, black coffee, fried eggs, pancakes and desert.
I definitely will book a room again when will go to Nuwara Eliya.

Medalin lake was perfect for the purpose of our stay. we stayed one night in Nuwara Eliya to take the morning train to Ella. Navashka and her family are amazing, they welcome you with a beautiful smile and caring about everything you need. breakfast was great and the view from the balcony was beautiful facing Gregory lake. very recommended:)
The hotel building is just stunning; a beautiful example of colonial architecture. My room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was served in the room which was very nice.

A lovely new hotel located away from the hustle and bustle of Nuwara Eliya but close enough to walk. We were only here 1 night before a very early start to drive to Horton Plains. The host kindly provided a packed breakfast.
