The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. The pool and garden setting was a good place to relax though the pool could have been cleaner in water quality. An easy 10 minute walk to the local beach. You could swim and also watch local fisherman.

Nilaveli has a lot to offer. The lower part of the beach closer to Trincomalee is very much like Bali or Goa with lots of accommodation including budget friendly options. The upper end of the beach is more secluded and has fewer beach cafes and bars. This is where the larger more upmarket Nilaveli Beach Hotel is located.

We couldn't find consistently good restaurants. Some were really good and the staff were amazing. Seafood king restaurant was great. Some restaurants the staff put us off. Beach and the sea were good but not amazing. Different vibe to the southern coast of Sri Lanka. I personally prefer the southern coast. We visited the pigeon island, which was so nice. But there were no toilets in the island which is harmful to the island and the marine life around it. Snorkeling was great.

Not too crowded like other beach spots in Sri Lanka. A good place to just relax on the beach. The beach is super clean. Great place to watch the sunrise. Good spot for any avid divers as well as there are some amazing dive spots all around with several diving centres to choose from.

This is a hidden gem, easily screened out if you were looking for 4 star plus. This place is a paradise if you are looking for a relaxing vacation and get trained in Scuba and get certification. Diving school at the edge of this property has all the gear you can rent for the day or you can bring your own. Instructors are experienced in local reefs and diving hot spots. Best food here is Sri Lankan food and fresh off the boat seafood. If you don't like spicy food, choices may be limited. My daughters, one of whom was a Vegan had plenty of choices.

Nilaveli is a quiet place on the whole. If you're into snorkeling....dolphin watching and whale watching then this is the ideal place for you. We stayed at an amazing boutique property called cbeyond nelaveli. The property has one of the cleanest Beaches if not the cleanest beach in the area. Also you get picked up at that beach itself for all the activities so it's very convenient.
Also a must go place for a drink or swim is Beach lovers. There's actually a few really Beach bar's on this strip of beach. Vitamin Sea is a very cool Beach bar on the same beach.

Nilaveli beach is great and you really need a vehicle to get around Nilaveli and to the Trinco town and Nilaveli beach, the hotel is perfect if you are there for relaxation and chill. I'm vegetarian hence beachside restaurant is not a perfect place to talk about food, however, the staff of Nilaveli Beach hotel did offer me some good local and international vegetarian dishes and the taste was good as well. You can do many activities there, but the time I was travelling was not ideal for any activities because of the COVID-19. It was more of a forceful stay to pass the day.
The best place for a relaxed holiday at the beach. Everything is perfect, it is all in the details….
The maintenance is excellent. The owners wife is French so you can feel it in the interiors. The wide beach is spotless clean, they check it every day. Next to a cute fisherman place with little boats. Lovely garden. The swimming pool is very cute. The food is very good. The chefs worked in 5 star hotels. They can arrange tuk tuk and different tours ( they do not charge commission). Thank you for this little paradise!
We had a great time at the Nilaveli beach resort. The staff was really very nice. What is not said is that, on the beach, next to the resort, there is an exceptionnal spectacle every day: traditionnal fishing. Fishermen bring an enormous net with a boat, about 1 km away from the shore. The net is linked with 2 long ropes that 20 people pull up from the beach for about 2 hours. Estonishing to discover how many fishes they bring that way in their net!

Direct at the beach, super dive shop on the premises. We stayed 5 nights and dove every day.
The hotel also has a pool now which is a super addition.

Hotel is the last hotel on the beach meaning a clean and private beach with beds to enjoy the sun in peace and quiet.
The NN Beach Resort & Spa is a great hotel, located right on the beach. We had such a great stay that we decided to stay longer and enjoyed the calm and relaxation. The complex is very well maintained. The rooms were also clean and tidy. The staff and the manager are very friendly and ensure a pleasant atmosphere.
Great location with a dream beach, nice view from the hotel terrace. A dream. Also excursions offered directly at the hotel. The best breakfast I had in Sri Lanka
