The room was great with a fridge, tea and coffee, air conditioning, a balcony and a lovely bathroom with a very nice shower which was powerful and had hot water.
Reception staff were very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage in the hotel after checking out for a number of hours. The hotel organised the free airport drop off which arrived early and was very professional.

A great BUDGET hotel, in an old style, it is a bit dated, but ULTRA clean, in a great location, with fantastic access to the beach. Two very friendly dogs, that love to be fussed. A great open, fan cooled, dinning area over looking the pool. The food and juices were reasonably price and good quantity. Good WiFi in all areas of the hotel and powerful water pressure

It was walking distance to main street. It had a pool. Price included airport transfer. Spacious bedroom with view over gardens at the rear so quiet. Looks like they are working on renovations. It had a nice spacious bright feel.

Given the location of Negombo to Colombo its a good location to the city but I would advise take two days in Negombo (nothing much in Colombo and Negombo)and make a few more days to Galle (very peaceful quiet, touristy) and definitely catch that Kandy to Ella train for that epic train pic. Overall beautiful experience and the people very welcoming kind and loving.

The hotel stay was the best. The staff was exceptionally helpful including the Hotel Manager. Great food. Along the street variety of restaurants with delicious food is available.
I would highly recommend the Jetwing Beach Hotel and making the bookings through Booking.com

We booked only one night in Negombo, to be close to the airport, as we were flying home the next day. The room was very spacious and clean. We did not take breakfast, as had to leave at 6am for the airport. We would be happy to visit Negombo again, and hopefully spend a little longer there.

Did not get to see much of Negombo. It was a very nice hotel I booked a two bed room and I got exactly what I asked for. Next time I would like to get something closer to reception. The toilet , hot water and pressure was great. We enjoyed our short stay.

Negombo is in two parts.
Negombo is in two parts. I was in a district of Negombo, close to the airport not in Negombo itself. I did not realise this nor was it made clear.
I thought the hotel was an airport transit hotel. It wasn't t as it offered no shower and change facilities once you checked out. The reception area was tiny. There was no comfortable area to sit,no outside space. I had too long from checkout to my flight. I therefore had to pay to keep my room on. There was quite a walk to Browns beach, few shops and restaurants along the way. No signs either to the beach..If you require a hotel overnight, free airport shuttle and you have a decent flight time then the hotel would be okay. Otherwise I would not recommend as there is nothing to do at the hotel and restricted to other amenities.

This is usually the first stop arriving to Sri Lanka or the last stop on the way back to the airport. However, Negombo has the potential to be a destination in itself. The beaches are not bad (may not be as good as down south), nice beach front cafes, restaurants and deck chairs to chill with a drink and watch the sunsets. Diving is possible during the season (not mid April to Sept). Lots of cafes and restaurants with variety of food (local, western, Asian and middle eastern). Stays can be in hostels, small family run hotels or 4 & 5 star hotel chains. Negombo has the canals, churches, Buddhist temples and Hindu Temples to explore. Negombo town is not as busy as Colombo, but has everything you need. Train and main Bus terminal will take you to all destinations within the country, not forgetting the proximity to the International airport. Recommend 2 to 3 full days.

I've stayed at many nice hotels in my life, and I have to say that the service at Uga Riva Negombo was perhaps the best I have ever experienced, even for properties of this caliber. They really went above and beyond to personalize my stay -- setting up a gorgeous little poolside table for my dinner, arranging transportation, giving me a tour of the property and its fascinating history, etc. Food was excellent. Property is beautiful. And, as a bonus, it's quite convenient to the airport. Highly recommend!
Clean, comfortable room in small hotel/restaurent, everything like new but dates from 2017 build. Our hosts were exceptional, so friendly and always happy to help. Breakfasts were amazing, different every day, with fresh fruit juices and fruits. The Canoe is well located in the Negombo, with large supermarket opposite, a park nearby, a range of restaurents and endless variety of shops. The lagoon and beach area with wider range of restaurents is 2-3km away, easy to ricj by Tuk-Tuk.
This is a very basic, no frills property but is close to the beach, has AC and friendly staff. The husband and wife team live in the attached house and a very nice breakfast is included in the price. Magdelin the host also helped arrange a 2 am airport pick up for us and greeted us when we arrived at 3 am! She was also willing to store a couple of bags for 2 weeks while we toured Sri Lanka. The upper units have balconies overlooking a small swimming pool and garden.
My first days in Sri Lanka ... here at the Camelot Beach Hotel I started to get to know Sri Lankan culture and gastronomy. The hotel exceeded all my expectations. Well equipped, clean, nice rooms, nice garden and pools, delicious food, polite, kind, attentive and professional service (special thanks to Lahiru who was able to answer my questions as well). I'll be happy to come back here next time.
It's one of the best hotels in Negombo. Many resort hotels are located along the beach but I personally preferred this location and tranquility, also simple desin of the boutique villa. Welcomed by delicious drink. Small pool in the middle and many tropical plants around. The room had balcony over either the pool or local residence. If I come back to Negombo, I like to stay here again.
Amazing stay, amazing people, amazing location! The hosts were so accommodating & brought me tea while I checked in, gave me a history of the area and some local recommendations. The room I stayed in was clean, bright & had an amazing view of the beach across the way. I highly recommend the Marine Tourist Guest House for anyone that wants a clean, safe, central experience in Negombo!
The pool was beautiful and very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The views from the balcony were lovely filled with tropical fauna and close to a nearby river. Calming music played around the hotel added to the ambient setting. Short walk to the beach/main high street. Excellent value for money. A good place to base yourself when arriving in Sri Lanka.
So glad we chose this hotel on our last day in Sri Lanka! The room itself was clean and very comfy and bathroom was spotless. You can tell they take good care of the property. It sits across from a field where you can watch the sunset. On top of all this, the owner was kind and hospitable which made our stay even better. A short 20 min tuktuk ride to the airport.
The pool was great. The beach was basically vacant except for locals fishing. Hans and his family that run/own the place are fantastic. Hans could not be more helpful. He went above and beyond. Don't expect a bunch of night life around there though. Very quiet and not many other hotels in the area. I basically stayed at the location the entire time.
This is my first hotel in Sri Lanka. Hotel in very good location next to main road. 2 minutes walking distance from the beach. No view from the room but it was a big room and clean enough. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They explained where we could find good food etc. and regularly asked if we needed anything.
Great place to spend a day and get your bearings after landing in Sri Lanka - short ride to the airport and close to Negombo beach. Our room had a huge balcony and the pool and garden areas are nice. The owner was incredibly helpful in giving local recommendations and arranging good value transport to our next destination.
It was a nice first impression of Sri Lanka. Very large room and very good breakfast, AC worked pretty well. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the beautiful beach. Staff were wonderful and hospitable, especially Sandu and Dushan. The next day Sandu escorted us to the train so we could start on our trip.
5-star hotel location in Negombo. Close to beach, restaurants, shops, and groceries. Worth for the price. There are two rooms in this property. The room at the back is private as no one would walk to this side. You will have your own small yard. Good for long-term stay where you can cook your own meals too.
This small homestay/hotel is ideally situated for the attractions of Negombo Beach. It is clean, comfortable, excellent value for money and has a really helpful host always willing to help and advise. This was my second stay and I would be very happy to stay there again if I return to Sri Lanka
