We had a wonderful stay at the Lady Hill Hotel! The staff are incredible; so lovely and always on hand to help. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very big with a balcony and view of Galle. Everything was very clean and the pool was great. The view of the sea/Galle from the restaurant is amazing, especially at sunset!

An unexpected stay! We had to replan our trip last minute due to a cancellation on a connecting flight. We had plans to get to Kandy / Ella, but they were all scuppered. But we found ourselves in Galle, where we had wanted to visit but knew our initial plans would not afford. So as they say, every cloud....
The Green Casa is a beauty to behold. A 150 year Dutch merchant villa that's been redesigned - keeping the old features in tact, with nostalgia added from an age long gone and the feel of the old colonial days. There has been a lot of respect in maintaining the history of the architecuture. Old pictures taken by the owner bring to light the history of communities in Sri Lanka.
We arrived to Mohan, who gave is the warmest Sri Lankan. He looks after the property and the guests there, and made us feel so welcomed. We arrived to welcome drinks, and felt so spoilt during our 2 night stay. They somehow knew that we had a difficult trip to get there, and even if they didn't, we felt they knew.

GALLE FORT is great for a one day visit.
GALLE FORT is great for a one day visit. The town is small and some shops are repetitive, with the same items for sale, but there are a few unique shops and restaurants which make a visit worthwhile.
Sunsets are beautiful; walk along the top of fort walls. Take a tuk tuk to the local fish market just outside of town for vibrant local life and walk back. We stayed overnight which made the visit more relaxing.

This Building is 400 years Old and in all our Travels of 30 years we have never lived in such a Colonial Building. The staff compliments the story behind this Colonial Masterpiece and they were Excellent. Service, Quality, Food and Drinks. It was a very Personalized experience living here because the hotel only has 11 rooms. We booked the Suite which was very spacious, Comfortable and Beautiful.

Galle is a city with a combination of a Dutch period fort and beach with all modern facilities. Dutch Fort is a very live well, reserved place with excellent attractions and choices. Walking over the museums and art galleries located in preserved ancient buildings is an excellent experience. fairly good nightlife available with ample choices of fine dining. within Fort, they charge higher prices due to high tourist demand. yet affordable eateries, supermarkets and facilities are available out of Fort within walking distance. Also people in Galle are very friendly, professional and helpful .

Fantastic location in the centre of Galle Fort. We had a front room with balcony - great to sit out on and not noisy at night and the bonus of a resident peacock displaying on the balcony opposite!
Beautiful property and delightful staff. Vinod and his team make you feel a million dollars with small details adding to a first rate experience, from the flower displays to the gentle jazz music, a super clean property and great air con.

The hotel is a partly original old renovated Dutch building used as the dining etc area dating back many years and a 3-5 year old new hotel main building. The rooms had lots of character and were tastefully appointed throughout with wooden furniture and antique style decor, wooden chairs on the verandas and wooden shutters for an authentic experience. The location of the hotel is good on the main road in from the Fort entrance and is very walkable for all areas within Galle Fort.
This is a beautiful historic building. The room was excellent, and the lobby and dining areas were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The quality of the service and the attention to detail from the three men managing this hotel was absolutely perfect. The breakfasts we were served, which were included in the room price, were the best we've ever had. This hotel was perfect in every way, and we will definitely stay there again the next time we are in Galle Fort.

The view from the hotel was amazing. We had the suite, and it was the right choice. Exceptional with the pool and the view. Nature all around you. You can see monkeys in the morning and evening. (Being your binoculars)

Even though remotely in the nature if you want to go to galle it is still only 20 min by TukTuk or 5 min to the beach.
This was the best value hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka. For the price, I expected it to be a very basic hotel but it turned out to be one of the nicest hotels we stayed at full stop (at any price). The property is really beautifully designed and the staff were amazing. It's just outside of Galle and a TukTuk into Galle will cost £1 and take only a couple of minutes. It's also right across the road from the beach. Amazing place - would highly recommend!
Indika is a passionate owner and manager, who serves his customers with great care in this, his personally own created, guesthouse. This is not a chic boutique hotel, but a small, simple and personal ‘home’, coming as a reasonably low cost, perfect for backpackers who would enjoy basically ‘sleeping on top of the waves’. You will not be closer to the beautiful waters of Sri Lanka. Food, service, WiFi, beds are excellent!
Beautiful accommodation in natural surroundings. Like staying in the jungle while being just a short hop from Galle Fort and loads of nice beaches. Breakfast was excellent every morning, both western and Sri Lankan options. Nicolas and his team could not have been any more helpful, 10/10 for the staff. Constantly milling around with a smile on their faces as standard! Would stay here again without any hesitation.

Hotel manager is friendly & always there to look after us. He got good knowledge & advance about the location. Location closer to Galle & Hikkaduwa. 15 min bus ride to Galle. Also hikkaduwa. Closer to railway station.
Very clean and comfortable rooms. In a very peaceful and calm neighbourhood. A 5 minute tuktuk ride to galle fort and a short walk from the beach. The hosts kindly did our laundry for us and gave us a lift to the train station. Really tasty and generous Sri Lankan breakfast. Would definitely recommend!!! Thank you for such a pleasant stay :)
Beautifully remodeled historical hotel in Galle. Everything felt new and clean. Good location to explore Galle Fort by foot. The breakfast was delicious with local and western options. We booked a standard room which was a bit cramped so I would recommend the deluxe if you prefer a more spacious room.
Voda Hotel and Spa in Galle and was extremely happy with my experience. The hotel was very clean, and the staff, including the manager, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food and amenities were excellent. I give my stay a perfect 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend this hotel to others.
