I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lucky Bay, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The owner Mohammad was amazing, always going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The place itself is beautiful, with well-maintained gardens that provide a serene and relaxing atmosphere.
The room was cosy and comfortable, with beds that guaranteed a good night's sleep. I especially loved the cute hammock on the porch, which was perfect for lounging and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The owner also provided excellent information about the area, which made exploring so much easier and enjoyable.
The hotel is just a few steps away from a stunning beach. It was the ideal location for a beach lover like me. Overall, my stay was exceptional, and I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

World away from busy world. I love the destination. One of the best location I've visited in Sri Lanka. Superb. Kudumbigala Temple, Okanda Dewalaya, Kumana Bird Sanctuary, Yala east national park. Lovely beaches and lagoons and many more places to visit and activities to do in Arugam Bay.

It's a place for beach lovers and surfers. Further not that spectaculair place to stay, lot is outdated and overprized.
For nature lovers is Kumana the place to be and for that reason you stay in Arugam Bay. One village further is Panama, with a little accommodation to stay.

Best place to get away from the busy city life. This is my 7th time visited Arugambay and it has become my fav destination in Sri lanka so far. The vibe is so relaxing and beaches are breathtaking and you can go in to the wild

It is a must destination for any traveller who is interested...
It is a must destination for any traveller who is interested in surfing. There are shops to buy your needs and many more. You can find good restaurants where they serve meals at any time. Kumana the wild life sanctuary for birds is nearby to where you can arrange transport at Arugumbay. Apart from birds, crocodiles. Leopards. Bears and elephants can be sighted. Though this is situated at east coast there are places where you can observe sunsets as well.
Our stay was wonderful. Our host Jazz and his family were very friendly and offered help and suggestions on what to do in Arugam Bay. The location is perfect as it is next to the beach (1 minute walk) and in the city center. All the rooms are modern as they were clearly renovated not too long ago, and our room was perfectly clean. The breakfast was good and tasty. I would certainly recommend staying here, certainly if you're looking for a good value stay in Arugam Bay.
Iqbal and his staff were very lovely and supportive regarding everything we wanted to do. He organized a lagoon safari and bikes for rent to very reasonable prices and gave us best advice what we could explore in the surrounding area. We ate delicious rice and curries and had some wonderful fresh juices. The location was perfect- right at the beginning of Arugam Bay, calm during the night and very close to the beach. It was a pleasure to stay with you!
This was the best choice of place that we could have made, we are so happy that we chose it, it is just out of the crazy busy strip of hotels and yet close enough to easily get to the beach. the staff are super friendly and helpful! we have extended our stay and will do so again, it was hands down the best choice we made for Arugam Bay, specially with our Toddler who also really enjoyed it
Jas and his family made us feel so welcome and were so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The location was perfect for the beach and the main area and was great to get to the surf as you could just walk down the beach to get there. We loved our room as well, big comfy bed, great bathroom and lots of space to relax. We will definitely come back if we are ever in Arugam bay again.
The Bavarian Resort has been a great surprise! The hotel is clean, the bed is big and comfy and the hot water worked perfectly. The owner and all the staff was very friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this place if you want to stay away from the crowds of Arugam Bay but very close to the main road.
It’s was a very nice hotel that included amazing breakfast. The owner was kind and helpful and the rest of the staff as well. The hotel is located in the calmer side of Arugam Bay which was great for a good night sleep. :) We stayed in a double bed bedroom which had everything we needed.
Loved my stay at the Lazy bay. The facilities were incredible and room very comfortable with the air conditioning. The hosts Murshid and Fomi were super friendly and helped me with information and scooter arrangements. The place felt like home so I highly recommend it.
