We booked really last minute and the owner was so accommodating and friendly. He helped us to our room with our bags and parking our tuk tuk! The room was lovely, modern and super clean. Very spacious and comfortable. Shower had hot water too which was amazing after days of cold water showers. Only a 5 min walk from shops and restaurants. Would stay here again. Thank you!

This is a brand new hotel and the caretaker and owner made sure our stay was extremely comfortable. The brand new AC unit in our room did not work but it was no trouble for them to give us a different room where the AC worked perfectly.
The kitchen facilities were great ti enable us to prepare a simple breakfast although a toaster would have been a great addition and washing up liquid too.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was great.

We were blown away by the location. The drawn curtains revealed a sandy garden with seating and a little gate leading to the most beautiful beach. We had the beach to ourselves, so idyllic! Chatnu and Ishan were the perfect hosts, the house is big with local artwork decorating the walls. In the evening they kindly fed us Sri Lankan style, the food was superb. When we were leaving Chatnu offered to drive us to our next destination, even on Poya day, a day when he should have been relaxing! Great hospitality and host we will remember for a long time. Two unforgettable weeks in February, staying at Wallama Villa.... It appeared to be the best vacation ever for our family. Nice, peaceful, quiet and secure place. It suits perfectly for staying with babies. It looks like a simple country house, but right by the ocean.

Ambalamgodas is near Galle so you can visit the famous beaches. It's most famous for the wooden masks. I like a pizza place called Ceylon Pizza. Very tasty and you can also take it away! My favourite beach is Hikkaduwa. I also loved bird watching and ridiubg to bird island to meet my favourite monk!

A small village with an unforgettable local flavor. The fruit and fish market always works, even on weekends. Ambalangoda has everything you need, pharmacies, supermarkets, banks and currency exchanges. And the most important thing is the large uninhabited beaches.

Ambalangoda is famous for its devil masks, a beautiful seaside village with a few minutes drive to Galle and Hikkaduwa, Bentota, . Turtle hatchery ,museums , temples, river boat , snorkelling, lots of tours. Local food and resteraunts fantastic, tuk tuk, bus or van hire easy and cheap. Locals are beautiful and eager to please and assist. We felt very safe everywhere!

The best food we had during our trip, home cooked fresh and delicious.
The villa opens up onto a well kept pool and then again onto the beach. Wonderful to wake up, dip in the ocean, breakfast and swim in the pool.
There’s not much to do in close proximity but a short drive or tuk tuk will take to many places.
The staff: housekeeper/cook and handyman/security were fantastic. Never been so well looked after.
Perfect stay in Sri Lanka ! We are a familiy with two children in the age of 11 and 14 and spent two weeks in May 2024 in the Villa. Everything was perfect . The host was outstanding. He was always available and had ideas for excursions. The food was very tasty and lovingly prepared. We felt very comfortable and would come back at any time. There were high waves on the beach during our stay. But we had the beach to ourselves. Warm greetings to Sudath, the best host ever !
The room was enormous, probably the largest in any hotel I've stayed in. Spa treatment was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful and proactive. Aircon worked very well. Friendly, intimate feel to the place. The management and staff tried to meet all our requests sincerely. Food was well presented and did not cause any stomach issues. The masseuse at the spa was excellent, though the room itself could be better. All Covid protocols are being followed.
Had a wonderful stay with Dilip and Chandi at their villa. The place has a very peaceful atmosphere and is away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Sri lankan streets and hotels.

They operate like a bed and breakfast with breakfast lunch and dinner on request for a very fair price.
Also had two lovely dogs Shane and Fred!

The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms exceeded our expectations.The staff, particularly the individual who communicated with us via WhatsApp, provided prompt and helpful assistance, ensuring our needs were met promptly. Overall, our time at this hotel was thoroughly enjoyable.
The property is on a beautiful beach. Close to a supermarket. There are only 3 rooms so it’s very personal.

Great location. Away from hustle and bustle of beaches around. Great for those who like peaceful accomodation. Amazing river view from rooms and garden. Janaka the host was very welcoming. Madu ganga river safari is just 5 mins away from there. Rooms are super clean.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel, literally on the most stunning stretch of beach, a long golden stretch of sand and super quiet. All the staff were so hospitable and friendly. The rooms were large, bight and well appointed, the pool is gorgeous and there is lots of space to sit and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.
Well equipped room with view. Hard-working staff. It appears to be run by a local family and I'm happy to support them and the community. They are doing their best to keep the beach clean and are concerned about the future of the environment.

Beach was close to the hotel and was with easy access...turtle care centers all around and you can go watch them. Location was next to the main town so getting supplies wa easy...
