It's not exactly a sight seeing city, more for business (Oil and Gas) which was the aim of my visit. Food is good! English is not widely spoken so best to know some Russian or Kazakh or have a local friend/ partner, but you can get by mostly. Download InDriver app to get good rates on taxis, or Yandex or Uber! Be careful the mosquitos they are not normal, you will find out near the river!
The apartment was very clean and had great interior design, brand new furniture and pretty much everything one could need: washing powder, hair dryer, iron, bathrobes and whatnot. The kitchen looked like a cozy cafe and was comfortable to cook in. The place is very cute overall and there’s a nice balcony with a convenient drying rack. The host was very punctual and polite. Out of all apartment stays I’ve had this place felt the most hotel-like in a good way.
When arrived at airport I contacted the hotel to inquire about a shuttle bus, lady at reception advised no bus and gave me the cost of a taxi. When I arranged taxi at airport they were trying to charge 10000T which is 5-6 times the right price, called hotel again and lady arranged taxi from hotel to collect me. Cannot thank her enough, went above and beyond her duty to assist me, very much appreciated!
Most friendly and helpful staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. There is everything you need for a pleasant stay. The room was typically small, simple but very clean, cosy and tidy. The hotel is safe and secure environment where travelers can relax after long days of sightseeing or business meetings. The location is just perfect for a walk around the city centre.

Nice Hotel, Semi Modern Hotel, 42" Samsung television (Smart TV) in room, but not free for Internet use with NETFLIX or other streaming services;, Wifi was good, but Internet access partially down through the evenings. Breakfast was good. Menu for Dinner is with big variety. Tasty local Beer in draught.
The great location of the hotel, if you have a night transfer flight and need to rest. The staff is friendly and helpful, and a night transfer to the airport can be arranged. The rooms were clean and tidy, there is a restaurant at the premises and open till late. Nice and tasty breakfast
