Location is just perfect for those who have to catch the early flights or arrive late at night. Just 2 mins walk from the airport by skywalk you are right at the hotel, very convenient. Breakfast is just fine. There is a big AEON Mall near airport, if you still have time to shop go there, cinema, restaurants, Uniqlo, Wabi-Sabi etc.
Set in Tokoname, Four Points by Sheraton Nagoya, Chubu International Airport provides a fitness center. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a bar.
This was our second visit to Utsumi. Mid-week it is very quiet, but we are told that at the weekend it is packed. So we were happy to be there midweek.
We stayed at the Hiyoshien ryokan and ate there since we had half board. We didn't need any other meals!
We had previously eaten at the Flower Lounge Hotel where there was a good set lunch for JPY 1000 (see photos).
We enjoyed walking along the beach on the promenade (no need to get sand in your shoes).

This trip happened at the tail-end of Covid (June, 2020). This probably provided a very different experience - the beach was practically empty, and there were only a handful of guests at the hotel. It was quiet and peaceful even though it was the beginning of summer beach season. With Covid cases decreasing and the state of emergency lifted, I have no doubt this will become a bustling summer location again.
