The most luxurious and comfortable stay we had in all of Japan, and without a doubt the most service-minded staff we have ever met in the whole world! They were available anytime to improve our experience in any way they could. The food was Michelin-star worthy and the menu changed every night with inspiring dishes throughout.

We were truly surprised to find that the hotel room was literally in this small station.
The ambiance and decor of the room was perfect for the experience.
The beds were probably to most comfortable of our entire trip.

The wonderful Sanso Amanasato is worth visiting this tiny hamlet. The hotel is heavenly - the onsen, the rotemburo, the gardens, and the FOOD was the best meal we had in Japan. You can also take the hotels bikes and bike over to the shrine nearby.
