Room is clean & spacious enough for 3 of us, near to the the lake and just oppsite the Music Forest Museum. Hotel is just above a family mart so it is very convenience for snacks & breakfast and there is a bus stop in front of it. We are able to see Mt Fuji from the room window too. Bed is comfortable too.

Jinya was so cosy and larger than expected. There was only 2 of us but they had 3 beds plus a pull out couch. It was a little Oasis after coming from hectic Tokyo. Wish we had stayed another night here.

Good for a relaxing one or two-day trip.
The air is refreshing and there are many nice parks where you can relax and enjoy the view of Mt.Fuji if the clouds are being cooperative.
A lot of great hotels to relax at and excellent restaurants.
I am not sure the Fuji Five lakes transportation pass is worth it unless you plan on changing locations quite often and plan to stay several days. Unlike the Hakone Frepass, it does not include any ropeways, only the buses and trains.
Kawguchiko is easier to drive around and access with a car than Hakone. Fujikawaguchiko feels less cramped and more open than Hakone, which is a bit more nestled into the heavily forested mountains.

While I like the elaborate furnishing and comfort of the hotel, a warmer and friendlier staff service would have been good. In addition given the price, shuttle service to train station should not be limited for only check in and out. Overall not really value for money if one expect better service.

The hotel was well located along the lakeside, but the carpark was away from the front of the hotel. We had a slight difficulty with a fellow guest, who deliberately blocked the last remaining carpark lot, by refusing to let us park our car. He stood in front of the lot, daring us to knock him down. Hence, this experience left a bitter taste of an otherwise acceptable experience in Kawaguchi.

We had never been to Japan before and if you type into your computer "which is the most popular destination in Japan", it will tell you Mt Fuji, so we decided to go. So did 10 million other tourists!!!! It was a busy place especially around the bus/train station.
You have to visit the mountain, but watch the weather otherwise it could be a wasted trip as we found when we reached the 3,000 m mark on the bus with rain and thick cloud cover so no amazing views. Avoid the tourist shops as they are a "rip off" price wise, and once again expect lots and lots of tourists.
The place we stayed was the cheapest non dorm accommodation we could find in the area and it was good value for money with a great host, so would recommend staying there if you are on a tight budget. The room was small compared to European room sizes, but the private bathroom and toilet were great, although access to the room was difficult with large suitcases up a spiral staircase.
There is a shopping mall 10-15 minutes walk away with a selection of places to eat (Italian, Chinese, Japanese, burger joint) . The bus trip on the Red Line to the lake(s) area is a nice half day trip and cheap.
All in all, if you have never been before, GO, it's well worth it, and a direct bus service from/to both international airports.

We rented a car and drove from Tokyo to Yamanashi and for us it was perfect. We were able to see all 5 lakes in one day going from one to the other in succession.
The restaurants in the area offer a great variety of sushi, izakaya and bbq. There is also a great Omakase restaurant nearby the hotel called Fresh Water that offers a different experience to the usual tried and tested.
On the day of our departure back to Tokyo we decided to swing by Fuji Q Highland with low expectations - the theme park is legit with a great Naruto Village, high octane rollercoaster rides and from our own experience a great haunted house that lasts the majority of an hour to walk through.
Loved it. Would definitely revist the entire area.

Fantastic staff. Superb location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fuji Lake Hotel. The staff persons are very caring and concerned about our well being.
The location is superb-right next to the Fuji Lake . The views of Fujisan are stunning on the other side.
There is a very nice bakery just opposite the hotel, managed by the French chef of the hotel.
The bike rental store is just across the street and there’s an Indian restaurant at walking distance with vegetarian options.
We loved this place and would love to come here again and again.
The location was a bit far from the train station but it was very private and quiet. You will have whole view of Mount Fuji for yourself, the feeling is unique, unlike when you are somewhere in town, when the view of Mt Fuji is “distracted” by other landscapes. We could also enjoy the view of Kawaguchiko lake. In general, we would choose again Fuji View Hotel next time if we go back.
Public bath was very clean and comfortable.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The place was very clean and felt like home. It was very quiet, i was able to get enough rest during my stay. There was free instant ramen and a bottle of water, heater and hot and cold water for bath. Mr. Aoki was very kind and gave me a ride to Kawaguchiko Station for free since I checked out early. I would highly recommend this property. Mt. Fuji is very visible from this hotel. Convenience Store is just a few blocks away. Thank you Mr. Aoki for your hospitality!
You can choose to include meals in your stay, which I strongly recommend. This Hotel also provided FREE shuttle service from 3pm - 7pm from Lake Kawaguchiko Bus Station, and morning Shuttle to bus station from 8am - 10am. This Hotel is located just near to Yagizaki Park, which is a great spot for photos of Mt Fuji, strongly recommend. Oh and did I mention the Hot Springs in the Hotel is really awesome, they have indoor and outdoor Onsen/Hot Springs.
Fuji Mountain View from the hotel is very beautiful. You can see Mount Fuji with the lake view directly from the room. Room is very clean and big.
The location is convenient and hotel offers pick up from Kawaguchiko station.
Hotel staff is very helpful and make us feel super welcoming.
Lastly, the hotel offers long hours for nice hot spring from 3pm - 2am; 4am-10am
Overall I highly recommend this hotel
A slightly dated hotel, but the unique atmosphere, very friendly staff and great breakfast (including local hoto noodles) make up for it. There is a nice sento style common bath at the top (!) floor from where you can see mount Fuji. I can recommend staying in a Japanese style room, which was spacious and a windows to the nearby lake Kawaguchi as well as mount Fuji.
The breakfast was a spread! It comes with 6 side dishes, 1 miso soup, 1 main dish and rice. The banquet hall oversee the beautiful view of the lake.
Excellent location - easy access to many attractions around Fujikawaguchiko, ~10-15 mins drive away to most attractions. Free car parking is located directly opposite the hotel.
The space, staff and food was excellent!! I’ve been to many ryokans and hotels but this one ranks near the top. A little pricey in my opinion but in the end worth it. The Presidential two room was the most spacious place I’ve been to in Japan 🇯🇵 especially with only 3 people. I’ll definitely be back again and again!!
Very nice cozy hotel with a stunning view in the japanese style room. Everyone was really friendly in the hotel and they had no problems with speaking english. There are also 2 onsen, one for women, one for men. Everything was very clean. We loved staying in the hotel. Thank you very much for this experience.
The location is great, 7 minutes walking to Fujikawaguchiko station and nearby restaurants/Lawson/family mart. The room is very clean with a separate toilet and bath/shower unit. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Our suitcases were kept free until 4:30pm after we checked out.
The staff was amazing and very kind, the location was great and we saw Mt. Fuji from our window!
The room offered traditional Japanese lifestyle, such as kimono, tatami, green tea and Japanese sweets.
We got early check-in to the room, and the parking was near the hotel.
The Hotel is located near Oishi Park, which is a great spot for taking pictures of the Mount Fuji.
The room is decent size with a original Japanese style bathroom. They offer you a hot bath (50 minutes) in a private room (1 per day).
It was a large room, traditional japanese style and amazing views. The hotel is right on the lake kawaguchiko, friendly staff and great facilities. We have really enjoyed staying here.
Everything is clean and neat, The employees are really friendly and nice ! You can see the Mt.Fuji view just by very near places. The hotel is near the bus's stop also.
Staff personally drove us from hotel to Kawaguchiko station every morning, and beautiful Mount Fuji view from my room! Very helpful staff, simple check-in and out.
The hotel looks new! Everything is clean. From outside specially inside. It is near the Kawaguchiko station and a rental bike shop just beside the building.
