Fantastic location, and staff was extremely heartwarming. Faisel, the manager, will be the nicest person you meet in your trip to Jordan. His hospitality is beyond all expectations, he helped me organise a birthday surprise for my significant other and was completely available. When we arrived he took us for a complementary stargazing round in the desert away from the lights. The room was very clean, and had a perfectly functioning bathroom with running hot water. As a final note I wanted to advise people to not misunderstand the hospitality, it is a cultural matter and it is pure hospitality, nothing else! All in all, I highly !recommend this stay

We had a great time with our guide. He showed us a lot of wonderful places in the Wadi Rum desert. The camp tents were clean, there was warm water in showers. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast. Everything was perfect. Perfect experience and I definitely recommend this place.

Took a morning camel ride at sunrise 🌅 Most amazing!! Abdullah was so courteous and kind in sharing the desert history. My tent exceeded my expectations! I would recommend relying on asking the camp staff questions about what to do, or information about history, culture, food and geography in Wadi Rum. They know best about everything and are really trustworthy people. Be friendly with the other campers, it is amazing to see who all visits Wadi Rum. I would say to trust the locals there, and you will have an amazing time. Definitely take your time looking at the stars.

Hiking and taking a Jeep Tour around Wadi Rum are amazing experiences. My favorite part is the different colors of the sand and the bridge. However, as there's no fixed trail for the jeep, the sands are full of wheel marks, which kind of ruin the whole view of the desert. Overall, it is so beautiful; it feels like being on another planet.

For those who like silence, privacy and are happy to let go off their screentime this place is just right. If you decide to take your car, an SUV would be ideal on the sandy/rocky surface. There are some do-able hikes even with kids. The place looks like a totally different planet with unique rock formations and red sand till as far as you can see. Star gazing is magical as there isnt much light around.....!
Hicham is a super host. He made our journey in Jordan. Really simple, humble, sympathic, really interesting man. The food is excellent and the camp well located once in Wadi Rum. Hicham took care of everything for us. He arranged a jeep for a desert tour during 4h and it was amazing. After a really nice diner, he brought us in the desert in order to look after the stars in the dark with a cup of tea. We exchanged a lot during this moment. We will never forget him and we will recommend Oryx camp to anyone wanting a real experience in Wadi Rum.
Words aren't enough to describe our experience in Wadi Rum and especially with Emad. We stayed 3 nights, two in tent and one under the stars, this was our favorite moment in Jordan, if you want an immersion in the bedouin culture and to enjoy fully the desert, do not hesitate to take contact with this camp ! Everything was perfect : the place, the food, the jeep tour and the people ! Thanks again to Emad our guide, with who we had great time ! A highly recommended place in Wadi Rum
We got a super complete tour in Wadi Rum. Please be aware that all locations in Wadi Rum have the same business model, where they charge extra for picking up from the main road and evening program. I was contacted by the owner through Whatsapp, and was able to agree on a really great complete package for my family of 5 in advance, with 4-hour safari tour, dinner and night start light tour. My family was enjoying it so much. By far the best food during our Jordan trip.
At star wars camp you can order meals (local dinner and breakfast) and a trip in a jeep or camels in the desert. Highly recommended jeep tour (obligatory with Mr. Karim who is an amazing photographer, the best driver and most importantly a genuinely nice guy!). The jeep tour was one of the coolest adventures while in Jordan. We saw the beauty of the Wadi Rum desert and learned a bit about the Bedouins. Jeep tour with Mr Karim highly recommended!
The camp, the food, the views, the safety, and TEAM were ALL incredible. This team is super special - travelling as a solo female, I felt so safe and secure with all the accommodations and plans they made for me, all in fluent english. The martian pods will blow your mind!!! Wadi Rum is such a magical, spiritual experience - I am so glad I stayed here and not somewhere else. This was definitely the #1 experience I had in Jordan.

Perfect location with nice view inside the desert, I loved the place and the good vibes of it, all the people working there are extremely helpful and nice. I got an upgrade on my room to the bubble tent. I booked a 4x4 tour with lunch for 6 hours it was nice then also had dinner at the camp which was delicious shout out to the chef Mohamed and the host Abdulrahman for there generosity.
The staff of island camp was one of the nicest hosts we had in Jordan! The jeep trip with them was amazing with many great activities around Wadi Rum. At the evening, the dinner hosted by the camp was a traditional Bedouin meal (cooked within the ground!) and during the next day when our group had some miscommunications with the driver the camp owner was very happy to help us communicate with them. Thank you!!!
Location and endowment of the camp, the beauty of the Wadi and the charm of people, the way of cooking and the excellence of the food (in the desert!) - and in particular: Khaled himself ! He is an outstanding host, friendly, helping, always finding a solution and above all always funny and joking, with a smile in his face. Best experience we had in Jordan. The camp is small and placed in a beautiful corner of the Wadi Rum desert. The size of the camp gives you an intimate feeling and Rashid and Sabah made sure we had an amazing time. We took a full day jeep tour and saw all the main highlights of the desert. Campfires at night when the weather is good, and drinking tea and playing games when a sandstorm hits. It felt like home!
Camp is perfectly located beneath huge desert rocks, with amazing view on the desert. Food was wonderful, staff and owner so helpful, with direct contact even before we even arrived to Jordan. Camp had all good facilities, cleanliness tip top.. we took 4 hours jeep tour and visited many sights, drank beduin tea, enjoyed the desert. If you go to Wadi Rum, book this camp without hasitation!
We had the best guide in wadi rum Aied. His brothers and he are running an amazing place. The camp is far from others which gives you the real desert experience. Aied went all out of the typical tour to really explain and show us things about the desert and Bedouin customs. We travelled all around Jordan and of all trips being there was the best of all. I hope I can come back one day :-)
Best experience Jordan, Majed and all the staff are very welcoming. Great food, great position of the camp with a breathtaking view of the desert. A must have for a great experience in Jordan and in Wadi Rum. Desert tour with Mohammed was perfect. He knew some spot where other tours don't stop and we managed to see all the goods of the desert in 5 hours. Can't wait to be back!
We recently visited Sun City Camp in Wadi Rum as part of a larger Jordan trip. The Camp is more of an upscale resort than a “camp”. The Martian Domes are particularly recommended if you like the night skies. Overall the staff was friendly and very helpful. And in particular Raja, the manager, was particularly helpful.
I would recommend going to Jordan only to visit Wadi Rum with these people. It really was the highlight of our trip. The scenery is beautiful and that can be enjoyed with any company but the value added by this people cannot be measured. they care about their guests, their camp and most importantly, the dessert.
Stay on camp very well organized, good contact with the owners via Whatsapp. The hosts very helpful, extremely friendly. Delicious food, both lunch prepared in the desert and evening "zarb" dinners. We spent One day in the desert, climbed the highest peak in Jordan and had a full-day jeep tour. I recommend ❤️

The view from the room was exceptional, though I did opt for an upgrade over the base accommodations. The host was very helpful, and flexible with my arrival time. As it is located in the desert in Wadi Rum, the camp is not accessible by personal vehicle.
