After almost 5 weeks on the road and changing 25 hotels, this was a very pleasant surprise! The room is lovely! The decoration is amazing, with the vibes of an old house, but simultaneously providing the appropriate comfort! There was clever lighting, one of which was pointing some old stairs behind a glass, that looked like going to an old cellar. The beds were comfortable! The location is great! Even though you need to walk for 10-15 minutes to get there, this is through the old town, so you can enjoy it! We wish we had more time, so we could stay there for 3 days, instead of 1, just to relax and enjoy the room! Communication was good so it was easy to get to our room.
Set in Pitigliano’s historic Orsini Fortress, B&B Locanda Il Tufo Rosa is at the entrance to the town’s historic centre.

We spent ten days in Pitigliano and stayed at Locanda Il Tufo Rosa. The accomodation was great including clean cosy room and breakfast. The services were really good, the owner was always friendly, helpful and kind. She recommended us nice places to visit and she is really doing her job with love and pleasure. She is happy when the clients are happy and are enjoying their holidays. I strongly recommend.

Breakfast Was great. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. A short walk into town and a safe parking area. Would definitely stay again.

The agriturismo is located nicely in southern Tuscany, only 5-10 minutes drive from Pitigliano. The cosy town of Sorano is also a quick car ride away where you find a handful of dining options. The excellent, professionally set coffee was a big bonus for the breakfast. The fresh cakes and ricotta were also great! The pool had a nice view and plentiful surrounding sun-beds. Also, the dinners we attended on-site was very good 🥘

We spent quite a bit of time in the old synagogue & learning about the history of Pitigliano. We ate at an amazing restaurant at the back of the main square - quite expensive but lovely friendly service & superb food. We had a minor issue with car parking & in fact were issued a ticket by the local carabiniere. They were very sympathetic to our misunderstanding the restrictions, but couldn’t revoke the ticket as it had already been printed. That said it was less than 30e so we factored that into our trip. Future travellers make sure you check parking out. You can only get around on foot as the village is quite compact.

We travelled to Pitigliano for a long weekend in February.
We travelled to Pitigliano for a long weekend in February. The town is lovely and well-situated as a base for local travel. We had a car; not sure how well one could get around with public transportation. The restaurants that were open were all very good, but many were closed for the season. It was nice not having a deluge of tourists to deal with, but later in the year when everything is open would probably be a better time to visit.

Pitigliano is 100% worth a visit and you have to explore the Vie Cave nearby. Good restaurants and bars for a nice aperitivo.
Parking is paid in the blu outlined parking spaces or free in the white ones (both in the new part of the town).
Sorana and Sovrano are also worth a visit either by a hike, bike ride or just a short drive.

One of the many beautiful borgos (Historic town centers) of Toscana with interesting thematic trails of the Etruscan and nature heritage around the town. If you are in good physical condition, do not miss at least some of these trails, which are adventurous also for children.

This town is a must-see!
This town is a must-see! I recommend a one night stay so that you can wander its streets at night and see the city all lightned up. Very charming medieval city with a few restaurants and a beautiful view. Very easy to get to the old town even though cars can’t park inside, but the parking outside the old town is very close.
We were the only guests staying in this property during our visit which meant La Casa Delhi Architect felt like a palace! The property is huge, with a living room, dining room, kitchen, lounge and master en suite bedroom! We felt like kings!
The views from the property are absolutely stunning and the best in Pitigliano!
The staff were helpful in helping us check on to the property and provided us with useful information.

Excellent location. Air condition was great as it was very hot at the time of the stay. Pitigliano is a very nice little town to visit and the apartment has a perfect location for the visit.
