What struck me about walking around Pisa itself and closer...
What struck me about walking around Pisa itself and closer to the Tower, is that is really does have International interest and the excitement and enjoyment that people have from travelling all over the world to see the leaning tower is very infectious. With good weather and so many wonderful eateries, its a travellers playground and so many hidden gems, accessed from the various online sites that specialise in places to eat etc. We found the costs very reasonable for a family of three, non drinkers, food choices were really good. The whole area felt very safe, it was very clean as well, quite noticeable i felt, maybe not as many open areas as i might have expected for picnics etc, but so much to see, lots of shops if you like to spend time on retail therapy, generally a great location and a lovely place to visit. We travelled from Stansted, the flights were fine with Ryanair and the airport is very close, we managed to walk there on our last day, around 35 mins walk in glorious sunshine.

We spent 4 days in Pisa Tuesday-Saturday.
We spent 4 days in Pisa Tuesday-Saturday. With one of the four days spent in Florence, this was a very easy train ride away.
We done the tower-book in advance!! They give you a timed slot for the tower but can return any day to do the museums, cathedral and baptistry, it’s beautiful and you don’t need to rush. We paid €56 for two of usto do everything, you can also co tone to use that ticket for a year to do everything but the tower again.
We enjoyed wandering the streets and Piazza’s and enjoyed more local cafes and restaurants that were good value for money too!
Cafe- La Delizie €1.50 for cappuccino and also does beautiful pastries and cakes.
Our favourite Pizza was La Taverna Pulcinella Via Garofani 10

Pisa is a beautiful and vibrant city - it has one of the 7 modern wonders of the World in it! The city is not too big, hence walkable. Apart from the Duomo, Tower, Baptistry, I would recommend walking the walls and visiting the Botanical Gardens.

We stayed for the weekend prior to our booked Vespa Trip...
We stayed for the weekend prior to our booked Vespa Trip tour of Tuscany. A weekend is quite long enough. Nice shopping area lots of places to eat and of course the leaning tower/ cathedral/city walls/ baptistry complex with the museums which seemed incredibly busy although we were assured that it wasn't.
Has good rail links with rest of Italy(unfortunately we managed to coincide with a rail strike which made travelling rather stressfull) so would be easy to nip to Firenze, or La Spezia etc.
Locals were very friendly and helpful and had good English( I am ashamed at my non existent Italian)
The owner was very welcoming. The hotel is just outside of the ZLT and has private parking included which makes it very convenient if you are traveling by car. And it's still within 10 min walk from the Pisa Tower.
The room was cosy and the beds comfortable.
The breakfast was simple but good. The owner recommended a great place for pizza (the best of overall of our all Italy trip) so we have to thank her for that!
We would highly recommend staying at this location.
The Location was perfect, only 2 min walk to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The host was very friendly and we could leave our luggage there after the check out. What can I say for the room, just great. The room was big enough, very comfortable bed with clean sheets. We had enough towels. The bathroom was big too. The room has air conditioning, it was the best solution for the hot days in Italy. I really recommend this place. It extended my expectactions.
This hotel was perfect. The price matched the expectations, the location was ideal, as it was very close to the Leaning Tower (10-15min walk) but also to the city centre and to the Pisa Centrale (20min walk). The room and the bathroom were big enough for the two of us, and everything was clean :). The hotel looks the same as the pictures provided and the staff was very nice to us when we arrived and every day until we left :)
Great value hotel. Incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. The room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable.
A very short few walk to the train station.and easy to get to from the airport.
Best breakfast we had in Italy was the included in the room rate.
I've stayed here 4 times . I use it as a base or overnight stop on my trips to Italy as its central location near airport and train station. Its very basic but lovely.. staff are so nice .. I've given a few reviews and all are different depending on my stay.
