We went to Bardolino on the Eastern shore the previous year...
We went to Bardolino on the Eastern shore the previous year and liked Manerba in the West of the lake better. Bardolino and Garda are very touristy and not so much genuine Italian as the other side of the lake around Manerba, Saló and Desenzano. Compared to the same time of the year on the East of the lake there were many more tourists than on the West side of the lake, and this would not only tell because the West seems to be less crowded, but there were many more Italian people in the bars and restaurants and in the shops, the shops were much less centred on selling inexpensive souveniers but rather clothes, shoes, 'normal' things. Also, in the West it was much easier to find a decent sized Italian supermarket. We were pleased to find quite a few vineries selling their produce often alongside olive-oil. Hiking the countryside is easier and visiting destinations on the lake like Isola del Garda and Sirmione only a little boattrip from any of the small ports.
The easy trip to Desenzano and Saló were very much worth it but what caught us most was the trip to Brescia. The city does not look much when entering the city from the motorway, but has such an interesting city centre with such a rich history. There are so many bautiful places to sit and eat, so many interesting shops and most of all the UNESCO World Heritage sites with Roman and Medieval History. Do go and visit it, anybody interested will not be disappointed.

Manerba dG is about half way from Desenzano and Salò, less than 15 Km from the A4 motorway. Very nice places easy to reach by bike or car all around.
You can find many nice and very good restaurants in Manerba and Moniga, in every class of price (from 15 to 100 or more, it depends on what you drink).
Visit: Peschiera dG, Valeggio sM, Gardone riviera. Good for shopping: Desenzano, Peschiera and Salò.

The part of Manerba del Garda we stayed in was quiet and peaceful with local restaurants and shops and markets twice a week. Beaches within 1km and the port with site seeing trips etc. Larger branded supermarkets (Lidl and Eurospar) very nearby. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful view from the hill to all peninsulas nearby. Also great starting place to discover Lake Garda and its stunning villages. You can find many supermarkets and gas stations in case of need. Good choice for families.

We loved staying in this hotel. It's small,very private,it has an outdoor pool, it's a family owned hotel, i think. It has a very personal approach and the owner was very sweet, helpful and cheerful. The room has q nice,cosy, rustic feel to it, nice clean bathroom and toiletries, great patio and view. The breakfast is served to you personally to the table and cooked just like you like it- we loved it 😍 5 mins walking to the lake and a lot of space on the beach to walk.
Location in a calm area, walking distance to a calm beach on the lake, near the center, Parking in front of hotel, staff incredibly nice. really clean. up on arrival they gave us plenty of information about the lake Garda, how to get to places what we must see. We took all of his advice and our stay was GREAT.

The apartment is beautifully decorated, and everything is well-maintained. Located in the center of Manerba del Garda, it offers easy walking access to the lake and surrounding areas. The parking area is spacious, and the neighborhood is peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful views of the lake and mountains, swimming pools, easy access to lake and restaurants. We were surprised by entertainment and activities that were offered to our kids without even asking for it. Vanessa, the animator was really fantastic and very passionate about her job, our kids had the best time. All employees were very friendly.
super facilities, pool and activities is great , rooms need updates, snacks bar and restaurants is not the best , quality of the food needs to go better level, but do I spend holiday there again, yes. because facilities is super, nice lake beach and swimming pools is great, clean and well maintained
Incredible kind host and very communicative. Also great location, about 2 minute walk to the beach and nice restaurants near by. The lady who serves breakfast was really nice and helpful. Clean rooms, nice airconditioning and a very beautiful bathroom! Overall great experience.

A very friendly family run hotel. Everybody was always polite, and above all very helpful with local knowledge. Breakfast was consistently good., the room was also very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has 3 EV chargers, which is a big plus! We were able to charge our car every time and not necessary to charge outside. All apartments have great views with the lake.
Franco, Francesco and Paola were just super nice, always helpful! We got the best tips for restaurants and activities one could wish for! Room was super spacious with fridge inside!
