Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful, very generous- we were upgraded to a lake view room and were lent bicycles to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi and the pools and garden looked great too. Breakfast vast and delicious!

The staff was always very nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms were renovated, clean bathroom, the cleaning lady cleaned the room and changed the towels daily.

Brilliant 5 night stay. Thank you to all the staff who really do take pride in their hotel. The standard of cleanliness was the best I have encountered on my many european travels. Breakfast was always really tasty and fresh. The Pool is top notch and a real bonus. We also used the free bike hire. Room was great size with the balcony a great touch. We got to enjoy the views from the rooftop area as we got lucky with the weather.

Desenzano is probably the biggest of the towns on the lake. It's not the prettiest of them but is most accessible by train/bus and the port provides more ferry options.
It's easy enough to get around but a few of the streets, a block in from the harbour, are steeply uphill. A lot of the footpaths have decorative cobblestones, which shake up a wheelchair. But, wheelchair users go free on the ferries, and their partner at half price, which is very decent. Ferry staff are very good at getting wheelchairs on and off via ramps. Some of the bigger ferries even have lifts to the top deck. A very good base for a holiday.

Evening walks. A nice short day trip to Verona no guide needed. Not too expensive. Fantastic views of the lake. Sadly no boats running to cross the lake. A little boat crossing twice a day would be helpful as it is November and out of season

The part where we stayed had so much within walking distance, along with good ferry, bus and train links to other places.
We ate at La Taverna a couple of times. But there were other places to choose from. Didn't really have any poor meals anywhere.
The host recommended a little supermarket not too far away and that was good for basic needs.
We happened to be there on the weekend of the air review - great to see the Tricolore and really enjoyed watching the air show along with all the visitors.
The Tuesday market was excellent, and we also enjoyed our visit to the Roman Villa in the town.

This was the perfect town for our stay. Many places to eat, shop, and enjoy the lake. The train station and ferries were very accessible from this location. We were able to make several day trips from Desenzano.

The Vittorio room was modern - comfy bed - great shower - staff were lovely, friendly, welcoming, go over and above to help. The breakfast was a feast. What an amazing array of fresh fruit. Just step outside the hotel and see breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. Desenzano is so clean and had wonderful places to dine. Take a ferry or boat to enjoy other islands. I loved the place so much, I could live there.

My room was clean and comfortable with a good sized shower stall with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed occupied much of the space and was comfortable. The AC worked quite well in the very hot weather.
Breakfast was good with ample choices. The hotel staff was quite helpful and friendly and really helped to make my stay quite pleasant. I would not hesitate to return.

The apartment is in a good location, just a short walk to restaurants, cafes, shops and the lake front. It is 2 kilometres from the centre of Desenzano and there is a regular bus service. We did not need a car during our stay.

The location is perfect. 1 min walking from Desenzano station and 7-10 mins walking to lake side. The facilities are new and staffs are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is exceptional, with a lot of selections. We were in a room with balcony and we can see the snow covered mountains. Really nice view. I really recommend this hotel. Really excellent breakfast in a beautiful lake-front breakfast room. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Comfortable bed, good controllable temperature in the room. I had asked for a quiet room so had a courtyard view - some scaffolding in front of the window (Feb 2024) which I'd imagine will be gone by high season.
