Fabulous lakeside setting but otherwise location is not great in terms of eating out. Iseo town is a 25 minute walk and the village the hotel is in is pretty dead.
Located right in the heart of Iseo, in the town's main square and on the harbour, AMBRA HOTEL - The only central lakeside hotel in Iseo is surrounded by shops and restaurants.

The location is excellent. Right in the heart of Iseo. We choose to pay extra for a balcony and I would absolutely recommend it. The room was nice. The breakfast was excellent, a lovely variety of food and we could eat it outside.
The International Hotel is a brand-new establishment offering the ideal facilities for a comfortable holiday in the Sebino area, right by the Iseo Lake.

Set on the hills of the Franciacorta area, the Mirabella is a tiny hamlet. Its charming farmhouses surround an historic fortress with views of Lake Iseo. The village of Clusane is 1 km away.

The room was clean, the view exceptional and the stuff super friendly.
Iseo Lago Hotel is set in extensive gardens, and offers a free beach and outdoor pools. Parking is free on site, and the hotel is a 10-minute walk to the town centre.

Lovely quiet hotel set in gardens and terrific swimming pools which we didn’t get to try. Located about a good 20 min walk to town. Staff exceptional. My husband and I both became unwell there and the staff , Barbara and Melinda in particular, went out of their way to help us with chemists and hospital.
Hotel Empire Resort is located 800 metres from Lake Iseo shores. It offers free WiFi, a garden and a pool.

Super-friendly helpful staff. Peaceful hotel. Classic room with plentiful storage and stunning balcony views down on the lake and of the mountains. Good breakfast on extensive terrace with excellent coffee and omelette to order. Secure parking and air conditioning. Delightful garden round the pool. Charming village round the port and easy drive to lively Iseo and beyond for strolls, meals, lake ferries and a bit of history!

Excellent location. Very helpful & friendly staff.
Beautiful city with breathtaking views. Full of life, but not too chaotic. Great for people who like to spend their time hiking or biking, but also for not-too-sporty people who want to take a stroll along the lakeside.

Iseo has a very nice old town, full of good restaurants and bars.
Do not miss the market twice a week with local products and try the Franciacorta sparkling wine (much better than Prosecco).
Do not miss the trip on the lake to Monte Iseo and the walking up and/or down the hill to the little church at the top. I feel, that it is easier to take the small local bus to the top and to walk down from the church.
Brescia is also very near and can easily be reached by train.

Centro Storico in Iseo was great. I loved it.
Centro Storico in Iseo was great. I loved it. A mix of eclectic shops and very charming, very old buildings. Monte Isola, a large island with steep terrain, was pure magic. I loved it there.
Biking is a disappointment. The east side of the lake, heading south from Lovere down to Iseo, is torn up from construction and the bike paths as well as continuous train and bus service is blocked. On the west side, from Iseo to Sarnico and north to Lovere, almost all of the route is on a highway including at least two long tunnels that feel quite dangerous when large trucks roar past. Also, in October the winter ferry schedule begins and the service is not frequent. You can't jump on a ferry and go clear around the lake.
I made the mistake of renting a manual bike, thinking the terrain was mostly flat, and how bad could it be? The bike I had felt like I was biking through sand--a lot of exertion and not much oomph. Iseo is around 32 km from Lovere. I thought I could grab a ferry back but the next departure was a few hours away at 6:45 pm. I had to bike all the way back the same way I came. A fun outing became a grueling ordeal, but the scenery and the towns along the way was spectacular.

I loved the laid back non commercialism of Iseo.
I loved the laid back non commercialism of Iseo. It was just what I hoped it would be. Just the right size to walk everywhere. Catch the ferry to other villages and the island of Monte Isola . Great train connections for further exploring . Friendly cafes and bars.
It felt like a good mix of locals and visitors but it was the end of the season. Nice architecture and some interesting old churches .
Not the place to visit if you want any sort of night life. More suited to walkers and cyclists and nature lovers.

Iseo was a great base for exploring the area.
Iseo was a great base for exploring the area. Ideal for people who want to relax by the lake, or go hiking, cycling, swimming. Great town with plenty of restaurants, bars, and gelato spots. Nice buzz even in late September, great weather mid-20's deg C. A car would have been handy but we travelled by bicycle or train.
Travelled from Bergamo airport by bus & train. Some delays with trains. Went back to Milan one day early to avoid stress of train delays when returning to the airport on final day.

Good position, short flat walk of about 20 mins into Iseo.
Good position, short flat walk of about 20 mins into Iseo. Pool area was excellent . Good range of quality food including hot food at breakfast . Staff were very helpful both in reception , in the restaurant.and bar . A very relaxing hotel
From the moment we arrived in the car we were warmly welcomed by the staff who helped us with luggage. We were shown to the scenic balcony to have a complimentary drink and after relaxing shown to our lovely rooms with views of the garden and hills beyond. A full breakfast is served overlooking the stunning Lake Iseo and we enjoyed two glorious dinners in the splendid ground floor restaurant. The whole experience of staying at the beautiful family run hotel was wonderful!
A gorgeous apartment right in the centre of Iseo with a stunning view of the lake.
Roberta was an excellent host who was extremely communicative both in advance and during our stay. The extra touches in the apartment like a bottle of prosecco, spaghetti, tomato sauce, jam, milk & juice in the fridge.
Very Good Location in the center of Iseo. The appartment has everything that is needed for a stay at the lake for 2 people. Barbara was very helpful and friendly!
