What you will probably enjoy more while at Hotel Nike are the amazing views of Taormina's Greek-Roman theatre and of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe.

Giardini Naxos is less than an hour from Catania airport- use the toll-motorway which is a much easier drive than travelling through Catania and lots of other small towns and takes twice the time. It's a seaside town with a good beach with both free and organised sections. There are lots of bars and restaurants and has a generally upmarket feel. Lido restaurant on the beach was our most memorable meal: beautiful beachside location, a proper Sicilian feel with professional waitors who looked after us and moderately priced for a really excellent meal. It was rammed full of locals which is always a good sign.
Not much for kids in Naxos except the beach. Taomina is a 6km bus ride away: don't consider walking as it is a treacherous road and a steep climb into Taormina town centre. The bus ride is beautiful and exciting. I've been on many rollercoasters delivering less adrenaline- the drivers are very professional and know the roads well.
Giardini Naxos is best accessed on foot. There are few parking spaces in the centre and few spaces around most hotels and guest houses apartments so bear this in mind if booking with intention to explore using a car. There are several well supplied small supermarkets in town centre or larger supermarkets on town edge. We chase Giardini Naxos as well placed for Etna and Taomina. It's around 90 minutes to Messina and 150 minutes to Palermo. The inside of Sicily is beautiful and easily accessible due to excellent toll motorways.

Giardini Naxos is a delightful coastal town that exceeded all our expectations. The beautiful sandy beaches, with their clear turquoise waters, are perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The promenade is lined with charming cafes, restaurants, and shops, offering a wonderful blend of local cuisine and vibrant culture.
The town itself is steeped in history, and we loved exploring the ancient ruins and learning about its rich past. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is both lively and relaxed, providing the ideal setting for a memorable vacation.

This is an outstanding location if one wants to be near the sea, very close to Taormina, yet at reasonable cost and not overcrowded compared to Taormina itself. Taormina is a beautiful and captivating experience, yet it is very crowded even in May, so Giardini Naxos provides relief from the crowds yet is just minutes away, at least earlier in the season.
A long promenade along the sea extending from Isola Bella at the foot of Taormina all the way to the beaches of Giardini Naxos makes for a welcome opportunity to stretch ones legs. Highly recommended for its more down to earth hotel prices, warmth of the local population and its many seafront restaurants

But the surroundings are just absolutely stunning. So wonderful to wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee on the terrace with a view of the Etna and trees all around. And then to walk up to the village and being greeted by the horses and cats.

We used it as a cheap place to stay after spending the day in Taormina. This worked relatively well, there is a bus from the nearby train station that takes you to Taormina. Taormina is a very beautiful but very expensive tourist resort, so Giardini Naxos is a cheaper alternative. We were there off season so most of the restaurants were closed, but we found one that was open, which was within walking distance.

Giardini Naxos means beach, sun and short trips. It is an excellent resort. It is close to a lot attractions, with accessible beaches, a typical resort with a cute center with colorful buildings, with many accommodation facilities, numerous restaurants and cafes, from which you can choose. It would be ideal to rent a car to be able to explore the very spectacular surroundings: Castelmola, Isola Bella, Taormina, Etna, Acireale, Catania, Syracuse, Ortygia.
The beach is great. There are not a lot people on it and even if they come it doesn'T feel crowded. It is sand/pebbles with a great view of Etna. There are beach towels available at the beach which is good, but also mixed feeling about having to pay for them at the hotel. The location of the hotel is also good because you can discover Giardini Naxos by foot. A la card food at the beach fish restaurant was great. The hotel was clean. There are golf carts if you have troubla walking which can drive you around the premises.
Property is clean and close to the very nice beach. Clean rooms with listed amenities. Some quick snacks are available in room (biscuits, jam etc.) should you need to have a bite. Some restaurants are within short walking distance. The reception girl Carmella is simply amazing - she answered all of our questions and helped us in everything we needed - I wish all hotels would have staff like her. Paid public parking is just in front of the property (15 EUR per 24 hours per car).
A superbly located & very comfortable accommodation, with a great restaurant, in the best spot in town, the south end of Naxos bay, with magnificent views of Mt Etna, Taormina & Castelmola.
We spent three wonderful nights here at the end of two weeks in Sicily - its definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Salvo, our host & his lovely wife are very personable - attentive, warm & friendly. My wife & I would highly recommend La Sirena to anyone as a place to stay, & eat.
-Attentive & hospitable host who allowed us to check in early (this helped a lot as we were with a baby and slept poorly on the night train to Sicily)
-Wide room with a nice wide terrace that has a view of Mt Etna
-Excellent breakfast
-5 min. walk to the beach (which had both free & paid areas); 10-15 min. (800m) walk to the nearest Interbus stop (either on the highway or Viale Dioniso) to Taormina or Catania
Can’t say enough good things about our stay; the apartment was spacious, clean, ideally located across from the beach (including private beach clubs with 15 euros for two sun beds and an umbrella) and steps away from all the restaurants (our favorite was the one directly below us). Alfio was incredibly welcoming and we appreciated his hospitality. We just wish we could have stayed longer than our four nights!
It’s newly renovated and has everything you need, like a 5* hotel but for a fraction of price. You will find a very comfortable bed and nice fresh smelling soft towels, nice small kitchen, washing machine, ironing board and iron and even an umbrella. Terrace has a beautiful sea view, and you can enjoy the coffee/breakfast with a view.

Definitely the best of our stays in Sicily this year. Great, welcoming host, absolutely fantastic breakfast and what a garden on the roof! Room very spacious with blooming terrace, bathroom well maintained and properly cleaned. Beachfront about 15 min walk away (on safe streets pavements, that's not always given in Sicily), and not very far to Taromina if you're looking to visit. Would recommend.
At the end of 10 day road trip round Sicily we arrived in Giardini Naxos. The villa is magnificent, like stepping back in time to a more grand and romantic era but with every comfort. It was different to the usual , modern but characterless places we had stayed previously. This is a totally charming property, with spacious rooms and private grounds and view of Mt Etna.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, who are also the owners. Its a family hotel, which I like. You are not a number. The hotel is located right in the middle of Giardini. You are 50 meters from the beach. The breakfast is really good. The owners ask you how you want your coffee. There is fruit, different types of bread, cake, yoghurt and some fruit juices.
we had a nice stay at the hotel ,breakfast was lovely lots to choose from,waiters were happy to take our order for coffee. we would have liked to sit outside except for the smokers . Beach was nice ,pool was popular with families . the hotel staff were helpful & friendly ,close to local restaurants ,public transport .
Everything was perfect, the apartment was wonderful (modern and clean), it has a huge balcony with a nice view. Our host was very nice and helpful, she helped us in everything. The beach and the center is also nearby, and the view was spectacular. I recommend it for everyone who wants to have a perfect time in Sicily!
An oasis in which to enjoy all the delights of Sicily. A wonderful host, with the best of breakfasts we enjoyed during or travels. The addition of home made pizzas on our first night, made by Davide and served outdoor on the terrace was a truly special occasion. Lovely pool with great views of Etna.

The owners of the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay nice. The included breakfast was basic but the best we had on our stay in Sicily. We were able to keep our bags at the hotel, given beach towels and allowed to use a room to shower after checking out.
The hotel is located in a nice position, not far from the heart of Recanati, at walking distance from the seaside of Giardini Naxos and close to a nice public beach. The rooms are clean and everything works substantially as promised

Davide was very nice. The villa is surrounded by citrus trees with a nice garden in a quiet area in Giardini Naxos. There is a beautiful view of Etna. The beach is only a few minutes away by car.
