XilHotel was tremendous from the moment we walked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was everything (and more) than we might have hoped for, and at a good price. The breakfast was the best that we found in 10 days in Italy with a great view too.

The old town of Gallipoli is quite dirty around the edges...
The old town of Gallipoli is quite dirty around the edges and, for me, not particularly appealing. Spending time in the modern part of town is much more representative of Italian culture and family life.
The beaches to the south are really great, particularly in mid-May when they are not crowded and the sea is clear and fresh.

Nice compact town with lots of history and great sea views.
Nice compact town with lots of history and great sea views. Working harbour with a variety of boats and yachts in moorings.
Has been taken over a bit too much by continuous seaside souvenir shops making it a bit tacky in places. Plenty of decent restaurants with an abundance of seafood.

A lively and picturesque old town with an excellent offer.
A lively and picturesque old town with an excellent offer. The pulse of the city can only be felt if you stay in the old town on the island. You can be prepared for remote parking, impossible staircases in buildings... but everything you need on vacation is within walking distance.

We liked town and surrounding.
We liked town and surrounding. Beautiful fish restaurants everywhere. Since we rented the car had the options to explore the other towns nearby. Galippoli was our base and from then we visited historical small town Nardo. The very good option to start your trip in Apulia😊
Lovely, large rooms with amazingly high ceilings. Beautiful views of the sea, which is just a few steps away. Fresh breakfast each morning, with a wide variety of options. This was a lovely stay, with kind hosts who had very good restaurant recommendations. And here we had great beds that gave us the best sleep we had our whole time in Italy.
Good to know - plenty of parking in the port parking lot just below the old town. You just need to pay from 6pm to midnight (50 cents an hour).
My favorite stay during our month traveling through Italy. Awesome, spacious home on an isolated compound. Quiet, beautiful surroundings and a 10 minute walk from the coast. A fine base the explore the farthest reaches of Puglia, if you're inclined to do so. Being near a stretch of coast with a lot of vacation homes, i can imagine it being more busy in the summer, but in this case everything was dreamily quiet and deserted. Would be perfectly happy to spend a month here.
Giorgio- what can I say? What a host! If only all B&B hosts were this great! Made my stay in Gallipoli the best! Went out of his way to pick me up from the train station and assist in so many ways. So appreciated:) Also the apartment is super cute, well appointed, good location and very large, quiet and comfortable. Enjoyed my stay very much! Breakfast on the terrace lovely as well! Highly recommend!
The location of the hotel was fantastic: in the middle of the historic center of Gallipoli. The boutique hotel was boutique in the true sense of the term. The architecture was of the hotel impressive, it was beautifully decorated and all the comfort was present at our room. The bathroom and the shower were specious, the bed was very comfortable and a very tasteful and artful interior. We loved it!
Excellent place that is both affordable and of great value. Exquisitely clean, ordered, and well run. I was happy with my decision to stay close to the station (4 mins away), and not in the old city. Life in Gallipoli mostly takes place nearby, so to stay in the old part means a rather long trek to the transport hubs and the beaches along the bay. Fun breakfast selection for breakfast in bed.
It was a great stay. A clean and pleasant place with a large, shaded terrace. Great location a few steps from the beach (fantastic snorkeling). Very good contact with the owner before arrival and during our stay. We recommend!
It's good to know that at the end of May and early June the shop in Rivabella is closed and there is no bus to Gallipoli (a one-way taxi costs 20 EUR).
Extremely clean room. Anna was very kind and available at every request. Breakfast on the balcony was an experience in its own right. The central location in the old town allowed for a fully embedded experience and the nearby Purità beach meant we never had to move the car. I never wanted to leave Gallipoli and part of the reason was this hotel and its staff.
Great location, lovely clean rooms. Beautifully decorated, and feels authentic! Mario was an excellent host, and he helped us with everything from booking restaurants to parking our car and navigating the ZTL. Also, having breakfast in the beautiful courtyard was a great start to the day! If you are travelling to Puglia, I would 100% recommend to stay here!
Nice hotel near Baia Verde beach and with easy access to Gallipoli and motorway to visit Leuca and the south of Puglia. Correct breakfast and according to a`3-star hotel. Restaurant was nice for dinner and price according to the general prices in force in the area. Quiet residential area. Free parking easy on the street.
A delightful stay. We enjoyed every detail and decorations. We were treated with such warmth . The location is perfect. The room so large and comfortable . I highly recommend everyone to stay here. It’s a treat at a great value. Plus yummy breakfast. This was my favorite place to stay of our Puglia trip.
It is a beautifully renovated hotel with top tier lobby and rooms. It is right in the heart of Gallipoli; a 15 minute walk to the old part of the city where there are great restaurants and bars and view of the ocean. The breakfast room at the top of the hotel has a great view of the harbour and ocean.
The location is beautiful and has a real Italian sphere. The people are wonderful and super nice! They do everything to fulfill your wishes and the food is godly. Everything is selfmade and they use wine and olive oil out of their own garden! Italy at its best… Absolute recommendation!
I loved the grounds and amenities! So many places to relax, take in a good view and read a book! The staff at breakfast were amazing and friendly! Hotel staff were nice. We got a renovated room and it was spacious, clean and beautiful! Location is great - would stay again!
Excellent service. Beautiful palace, managed expertly by a family who used to live there and turned it into a hotel. They can help with any plans you may have for your stay.
Great location. Good breakfast prepared with care and quality ingredients.
Highly recommended.
We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the harbour.

The staff were all extremely helpful the location in the centre of the old city was amazing and only 200 metres from a lovely beach all and all a wonderful place to see gallipoli properly
