Le Dune Sicily Hotel is only 2 km away from the city centre of Catania. It lies in an enchanting place between the golden sand of "de La Plaia" beach and a beautiful small Maritime pine forest.

All the personal was very friendly. They have given us a card for an umbrella and sunbeds on a beach, which is located just across the road. The room was clean and very comfortable. Definitely recommend that hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Catania

A Perfect Combination of Ancient and Modern

Located on Sicily’s eastern coast, at the foot of Mount Etna, Catania is the island’s second largest city. This charming destination features unique Sicilian Baroque architecture, large squares, avenues and a very important port.

On the northern side of the Cathedral Square, the historical Palazzo degli Elefanti houses the Town Hall of Catania. The Elephant Fountain is the city’s symbol and the entrance to the main shopping area. Surrounded by stunning Baroque buildings, Piazza del Duomo is a popular meeting point for tourists and locals.

Dedicated to Saint Agata and built over the Roman Baths of Achilles, the Duomo has an impressive facade that is one of Gia Battista Vaccarini’s masterpieces. The cathedral’s dome dates to 1802, while in the vaulted interior is the grave of the well-known composer Vincenzo Bellini.

Facing the Ionian Sea, this beautiful seaside place is one the hottest Italian cities during the summer. Mount Etna is an active volcano and a nice place for skiing in winter or a trip to the solidified rivers of lava during the rest of the year.

With the busiest airport in Sicily, Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, Catania is easily accessible by numerous European destinations like Munich, Rome and London. You can stay in one of the Catania hotels, guest houses or hostels Booking.com offers.

Just walking a long the main street for 20 minutes and there are public bus passing by also. There are many gluten free restaurant for my husband to choose. We were walking around the Piazza and enjoy the gluten gelato with my husband. This city has some tourists and still maintain the culture of local people.

Best hostel I've stayed in the whole of Italy. Clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, full of character, homely atmosphere, large rooms/bathrooms, lovely lounge perfect to socialise and meet other travellers, right in the centre of Catania, everything at the doorstep. Salvo and his volunteers are the most welcoming people ever, my time in Sicily wouldn't have been the same hadn't I picked this hostel and met them. Thank you guys!

Good location, by Via Etna. Simple, clean tidy room with good hot shower. Breakfast fine, hosts in morning were nice and helpful. Its a cheap hotel but dont let this put you off. It is clean and tidy. Catania is rough around the edges. The walk to the railway station is through rebuilt postwar bomb sites. The main street is beautiful, good architecture, views of Etna.

Excellent service from all staff. Good location very easy to walk into the main area of town. Was given a map and shown a good walking route to get all the main sites and end back at the hotel. Really helped as we were only in Catania one day, so ensured we made the most of it. Also the airport transfer was excellent.
