Very friendly and helpful staff. We had an early flight and they were there to let us out of the gate at 3am no problem. Very convenient for a Ciampino airport. Beautiful view of the lake.

Lovely and quiet atmosphere, amazing views (especially in the morning during breakfast), we loved that we had two rooms joined together so it was perfect for us.
Easy to park our car and the breakfast itself was superb
would definately recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay near Rome

A lovely atmospheric little place, good bars and restaurants and some pleasant little local shops and craftspeople. Wonderful views. You can visit the Papal Palace and Gardens as well as the Art Gallery and Museum of Art.

Nice place to stay out of Rome, but not too far (about 40 min by car to the centre). Close to nature, Albano lake is within the half an hour walk down the hill. There is access to the beach with a restaurant and a bar (and a parking lot) where you can rent a chair. Parking can be little tricky in this town with narrow streets. Some wide cars might not fit the most narrow streets which are also one-way.
Ciampino airport is 25 min away by car. Also reachable by train

Castel Gandolfo is a beautiful town.
Castel Gandolfo is a beautiful town. The Pope's palace isn't much to see inside but it has miles of gorgeous gardens and views. The pine trees are some of the healthiest I have seen in Italy. The food is amazing. We frequented La Papessa and Pagnanelli - we'd go back just to eat some more.

A lovely, classic Italian Hotel in an ideal location with fabulous views and lovely interiors. The main terrace has wonderful views over lake Albano and is a lovely place to relax. The Hotel has two small pools, one in the same space as the breakfast area! and the other on the roof terrace.

It's a very small place and the area is very hilly. Not recommended if you want to spend a lot of time wandering around the area. However, we found it very clean and peaceful.
Restaurants are very good and a wide choice of food is available considering it is so small.

It is a small town but we’ve done all the biggies and wanted a smaller town. Lots of restaurants for a small town but that’s probably because of the day trippers from Rome. Also Romans go there on weekends to escape the crowds of the city, especially this year because there are so many more tourists according to the locals and the food is really good. Some restaurants you might want to consider, Sor Capanna, great pizza, and pasta with boar sauce. Cumin Arte, they offer other things but this is definitely seafood oriented, great mussels and seafood options. Hosteria Fraschetta, we ate there a couple of times, the food is that good, a little bright inside but everyone was enjoying themselves one cool, rainy night. All of the above also have outdoor seating.

We went to Castel Gandolfo for a few days. This apartment was our base for trips to other places. We were in Rome, by the sea and in Subiaco. We liked the apartment very much, well located, well equipped. There are many restaurants and places to visit or relax around. We arrived late at night but the hosts gave us instructions on how to find the key and get in. They were happy to answer our questions. We recommend it to others.
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment, which had a wonderful view of the lake. The apartment was a short walk to the main streets of Castel Gandolfo (it’s separate from the main Atlantis Inn building). The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and updated wonderfully. The apartment was cleaned daily by staff. Internet is great. We did not have to use AC/heat. Good sound insulation when windows are closed.
Rome is fantastic city, I visited many times, but Castel Gandolfo is really excellent place to stay. Real Italy. Apartment is full equipped and very comfortable. We traveled with 3 old kid, it was great, heating, all equipment, even Ikea glasses for children. Location, stunning. I like the center, delicious food from the restaurants and of course Italian moving.
The place was very organized, clean and with all the facilities. Well located in a beautiful and quiet area close to an amazing lake that you can have a nice view on the way to the train station that is about 8 minutes walking. You can go straight to Rome center with this train line. The place is also close to the airport ciampino.
The hotel sits in a great spot, overlooking the lake. It's a short drive away from Rome Ciampino so it was very easy to reach by car. It's also relatively close to good restaurants and it's a great getaways if you are looking to escape the bustle of the city and just want to unwind and relax.
The villa is lovely and excellent value for money. We were a family of 3 and were very comfortable in the space. The view is absolutely beautiful and the village, Castel Gandolfo, is a must. The host is super friendly and the kitchen was stocked with goodies to get you started.
This apartment was everything they said it would be! So lovely and comfortable. A place to take a breather and recharge. The walk to the town was easy as long as you take it slow. The small town is charming with some great places to eat. Easy to get to by train from Rome.
Cosy little apartment in the heart of Castel Gandolfo with a magnificent balcony view of the lake. The apartment is small but fully functional with all the amentities needed for a few days in the area. There is also parking a few hundred meters away from the place
Perfect setting, couldn't believe I found such a gem! (if it's good enough for the pope...) 10 min walk to the train station to get to Rome Termini in 40 mins, fantastic restaurants on your doorstep, all the amenities you could want in a self catering apartment.
The views across the lake are panoramic and splendid - but the hotel is high and unfortunately for us it was very windy on our stay. Quirky! Great room size and attentive staff - when visible!
Perfect Bnb in the heart of Castel Gandolfo. The apartment was cute, comfortable and clean. Has everything you need for your stay, I would recommend! Paid street parking is available close by.
A beautiful view from a spacious balcony. Located close to the main piazza of Castel Gandolfo. Lots of amenities- fully equipped kitchen, lovely bedroom, and high ceilings.
Location is very convenient for a short business trip to Rome and ideal to the city center of Vecchio. The atmosphere in the hotel is classic. B/fast room is exceptional.
Breakfast provided at nearby bar, nice continental breakfast. We were upgraded to the nearby Romeo and Juliet, not Il Valentino, so above comments apply to that.
The room assigned was really far from pictures.
Below car parking, it has no windows at all.
Unpleasant and unacceptable from a self-defined Luxury hotel.
