The location is great. It's just a short walk to the beach and close to so many restaurants and cafes. Breakfast at their Mira cafe has a good selection of Indian and international choices.

Lots of beaches and all the beaches are clean. Though Restrooms is a drawback , Govt can work on it in the future.
For Peace, visit Aurobindo ashram and meditate for a while. Go to Manakula vinayagar temple for a vibrant darshan.

Apart from the Parliament and the beach area, there are no other tourist sites. The government should develop more tourism sites like the number of wine shops.
A very long walk from parking lot to Auroville beach is not necessary and not recommended for elderly and children.
What is the reason for Auroville parking fees for a bike is 50 and car is 150 rupees?
It's absolutely knowing scam from all visitors.

Interesting place to visit.
Interesting place to visit. Lots to do and see, easy to get around. A visit to Auroville a must. Book early on line if you want to go into the Matrimandir, it was a memorable visit. Great places to eat. We loved the restaurant at La Villa Shanti (booking essential), Restaurant Cecile, Dilliwalla6 and Bread and Chocolate. Lots of places to get Ayurvedic massage and treatments.
My friend and i stayed in Eden Roc for five days during our leisure travel to Pondicherry and Auroville. We had a very comfortable stay. William, Kumari and Padmashree didn't give us an opportunity to experience any inconvenience throughout our stay. The room was very clean and all the facilities required were available. The location is also perfect as it's on the main road. We recommend this hotel as our experience was fabulous.
Veeras is close to the heritage town. The staffs are very helpful. In pondicherry, it's very tough to get a parking space in hotels. Veeras got you COVERED and the manager help you to park the car in parking. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It's newly built hotel and it's super neat.

The Hotel was in the centre of White Town in Pondicherry, it had a lift, the Air-condition in the room worked well, there was a small fridge in the room and the reception provided sealed bottles of Still drinking water. The staff, manager Kabilan and his assistant Mani were very helpful, and even arranged our driver driven cab for two whole days.
Great location within walking distance (or by auto) for all major sights. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you, always smiling. The breakfast was fabulous with so much food; it is definitely a hotel for foodies. We can’t wait to go back to Pondicherry and the Villa Shanti!
One of the best hotel in Pondicherry, I recommend you guys this is the best one and mostly the rooms are perfect and the total hotel looks like antique and its looks like the tajmahal.Hospitality is great.
