Lots of beaches and all the beaches are clean. Though Restrooms is a drawback , Govt can work on it in the future.
For Peace, visit Aurobindo ashram and meditate for a while. Go to Manakula vinayagar temple for a vibrant darshan.

Apart from the Parliament and the beach area, there are no other tourist sites. The government should develop more tourism sites like the number of wine shops.
A very long walk from parking lot to Auroville beach is not necessary and not recommended for elderly and children.
What is the reason for Auroville parking fees for a bike is 50 and car is 150 rupees?
It's absolutely knowing scam from all visitors.

Interesting place to visit.
Interesting place to visit. Lots to do and see, easy to get around. A visit to Auroville a must. Book early on line if you want to go into the Matrimandir, it was a memorable visit. Great places to eat. We loved the restaurant at La Villa Shanti (booking essential), Restaurant Cecile, Dilliwalla6 and Bread and Chocolate. Lots of places to get Ayurvedic massage and treatments.

A 3 day trip is enough to cover Puducherry - 2 days to sight...
A 3 day trip is enough to cover Puducherry - 2 days to sight see and 1 day to relax. Must places to visit are paradise beach and Auroville. Beach dressing necessary to enjoy paradise Beach as it is a shallow beach and one does get fully wet. Keep the evening and night for Rock Beach and a restaurants around it. Do mangrove trail if available.
Stay in white town if possible.
If on a road trip from Chennai, do take a detour to Alamparai Fort. It takes an hour max here.

The location of this place is within 1km from Promenade beach (walking distance). The rooms are clean, and the staff is polite and helpful (they helped us to figure out the places to go, and places to eat, etc.). Another positive point of this place is they have private parking which is really good if you are going with your own vehicle, because in Pondicherry many pricey hotels provide parking on the street.
Would definitely recommend this stay if you are looking for a moderate budget stay with private parking.
I reserved this hotel online previous night and they did not have courtesy to call me next day about pre payment to confirm my temporary booking.
Instead they sent a mail which i saw few hours later and by that time, when I clicked on the link, I could not make prepayment to confirm my booking. My booking was cancelled and I had to find some other accomodation. The hotel does not even have courtesy to call and inform. We do not check mails immediately and hence I suffered.
The best part about this place was the hospitality of Fabian, Surender, Benovah and Murugan. They helped me and my family with moving around Pondicherry. It would be right to say that without them, the stay would be disappointing. They made up for a few shortcomings of the hotel by going out of their way and accommodating us. ThisHotel needs an upgrade. Hotel is in a central location and provides easy access to all the nearby places.
Veeras is close to the heritage town. The staffs are very helpful. In pondicherry, it's very tough to get a parking space in hotels. Veeras got you COVERED and the manager help you to park the car in parking. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It's newly built hotel and it's super neat.

The upkeep of this hotel is nothing less than commendable. The facilities and staff training is absolutely 5 star standards with the addition of a small town warmth. We had a welcome host -Namrata that assisted us in check in and introduced us to the property. The professionalism and enthusiasm just showed how well the upper management is treats their staff. This was a lovely base from which to explore the beautiful streets of Puducherry. The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance of the beachfront and several nice restaurants and bakeries. The hotel felt safe and our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We also really appreciated the help from the Ajithkumar (Night Manager) with organising a taxi to our next destination.

The best budget hotel to stay in Pondicherry. Situated near to Promenade beach, the location is good. White town is also at walkable distance. Hotel was neat and clean. The staff were polite and friendly. All the more we loved the food and coffee. The breakfast buffet was also a nice spread. Overall its a good value for money.

This is one of the best hotel I have ever stayed in the pondicherry, very good ambiance and good staff maintenance. This property in little bit far away from main town, they helped us a lot showed us where to go and what to do and arranged as a lot of different activities in the city .
