Probably the nicest hotel on my trip. The room was very clean, comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The design prevents the entire bathroom from getting wet when you shower, which is a big plus. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were completely hassle-free. The location was good, just 15 to 20 minutes to the "downtown" area, and it was very quiet at night. I would definitely come back again.

It’s a lovely city with history and not really on the tourist circuit (which made it less crowded!!). We wandered through the old city, it’s bazaars and monuments and it gave us a good sense of the city and it’s highlights.
However, the heritage walk that is recommended across the board has no supporting implementation, sadly. Some of the monuments are in disrepair and resemble a haven for addicts while others are in a state of restoration which is a promise for the future. Signage to all these monuments are excellent but no opening times etc which resulted in places being closed. No adequate info on having to book a heritage trail which seems to be volunteer run effort and not a routine one. I don’t think anyone stays in Patiala for too many days to wait out the much touted heritage trail to happen!
A concerted effort to provide information and improve accessibility to these historic places will definitely give the city the sheen it needs.

You get a glimpse of Punjabi culture with the big sized cars and fancy no. plates. The eateries were good and the helpings were generous. The locals went out of their way to guide us to our destination. The gurudwara is amazing
