Places like adventure sports, Jeep Safari, elephant farm, falls , boating, tea plantation. and please don't get into the spice shops, they are very expensive and not worth it. We stayed in Munnar village home.. a little distance from Munnar.. but it was great.. we loved it, we planned for a one night stay only.. after seeing the comfort, location of the homestay, we extended it to two nights. Highly recommended place for families.. climate too was great. Little rain, little sunny.. all great

Just spellbound, as God Himself painted on the canvas of Munnar. We got opportunity to visit spice garden, Tea plantation & Chocolate factory and some beautiful landscapes within a very short spell of time. I wish to come Munnar again to explore many more places in Munnar, where we couldn't due to lack of time we missed them.

Absolutely beautiful. It was a highlight of our trip to spend time there - the air is considerably cooler and cleaner than other parts of south India so it was a welcome reprieve for us. I would say anyone going to Kerala should make it a point to go into the ghat mountains. But getting around was not easy! The roads made us all very ill. Motion sickness pills are a must. And the hotels, and towns, and tea plantations are all spread out so every day you basically will have to get back in the car for torture again. We didn't see as much as we had hoped because we were too ill and we also had not factored in how far apart everything is. But we just loved the mountain air and lush scenery anyways.

Munnar is a very interesting area to visit with a family, lots of activities for families, very easy to move around with Tuk-Tuk or for a better comfort with an open Mahindra jeep.
walking around the tea plantation is breathtaking, we could also see the Elephants in a natural environment, mind blowing experience.
We spent five days in Munnar and it was perfect.

One needs to visit Munnar during non peak season as the roads become very congested and lot of time is wasted in travel alone.
A minimum three days stay is essential to cover Munnar properly.
It is better to stay on plains rather than in properties at height and access to the property through uneven clay roads.

I would be in trouble catching my bus from Munnar to Chennai if the Hotel Manager Abse and his wife Jini were not kind enough to personally drop me off to bus station. They not only dropped me off but also made sure I get into the right bus despite there were some big miscommunications. They were the kindest souls I have met in India. I recommend this stay in Munnar. You would meet some amazingly helpful people and will get yo taste great south indian breakfast.
Lovely hotel located in an ambient place yet still close to Munnar city by tuk tuk. Run by an amazing, helpful, professional and charming host Mukesh. Rooms were beautiful, clean, and had a beautiful view to the forest. Very good vibes, smiles and an excellent food both breakfast and dinner.
My mum & I really enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend to choose this place before you move your location to the buzzing city.

Our stay at BHRS Resort in Munnar was far more than we expected. The resort's impeccable hygiene standards, top-notch services, and delightful breakfast spread made our experience truly memorable. The foggy ambiance added an ethereal touch to the atmosphere, perfectly complemented by the breathtaking view from the balcony. And to top it off, the high-speed WiFi was a pleasant surprise, making our stay even more enjoyable. BHRS Resort in Munnar truly exceeded all our expectations.
Decent budget option located near the bus station (though most buses drop you off in the main town 1.5km away). My room was small but clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers. There are nice communal areas on the top two floors with views over Munnar. Helpful staff will arrange treks, autorickshaws for trips to top station or other points of interest and advise on onward travel. The hotel is close to a nice cafe and an excellent vegetarian restaurant.
One of the best property during our Kerala’s visit better than a 5 star hotel. Very spacious and you can see the passion with each room and every object is designed. They have multiple activities where they bring guests together like Yoga, Meditation, Bonfire and create a society feeling where you can interact with other guests. An excellent staff and owner and food was excellent too. We will definitely recommend this to everyone and will stay again there.

I highly recommend the Hotel Mount Shelt for visitors to Munnar. Unlike many of the bijou resort and retreat style hotels in the hills, this is the place to be based, near as it is to the tourist information office where you can plan trekking and excursions. Ask for the delux twin bedded room for comfort. Very good value with an Indian breakfast included in the price.
