A place full of energy. People here are warm and live in harmony. There are lots of age old Temples here. The vibe in these temples are at another level. You can easily find bus connectivity literally from anywhere to anywhere. Must visit Aaru Block.

2.kottayam buses are really crowded and they dont behave properly.
3.shops also people don't behave decently.they see us more as trespassers.u pass by their shop,they will quip " Hey what do u want "
They should mind their own business.
4.if you wear a gobi tilak they will give u a wicked stare as if I am coming from mars. If gobi tilak is banned here in kottayam,it should be mentioned before entering this city.i will remove it.
5.kottayam is far too crowded.its certainly not a city to visit to chill out or for a tour. There's nothing here to see.just the usual shops roads traffic which is ubiquitous.
Kind of grumpy people live here.reminds me of my favorite Garfield.

Quality of food is very low. There is no good restaurants near railway Station or bus station in the city. The worst experience I ever had regarding food in kottayam. Dirty unhygienic hotels, and charged too high.
Very spacious four-bedroom apartment, with a 24-hour Check-in & Check-out! Manager Ajith was kind & helpful and made our stay a pleasant one. We were in touch with Anand, who gave us clear directions to reach the property. Good value for money, considering that the apartment can accommodate up to seven guests in three double-bed rooms and a single-bed room. The apartment also has a furnished kitchen and a dining room. We'd love to stay here again, on our next visit to Kottayam.
Hotel is not far from city, but away from the traffic and sounds. Rooms are of average size and quality, comfortable, though not cozy or luxurious. The property has a large outdoor area, we couldn’t see much as it was raining, but the rain was enjoyable with its green surroundings. There is a restaurant, breakfast was average and a bit overpriced. Reception was helpful to get a taxi. Good for a short stay.
Location is good, right next to Kottayam Town. The approach road from the main road is a bit narrow but the area is a clam quite and serene place. The rooms were spacious and all are bath attached and the is a seperate common bathroom. The home as a whole is very spacious. The compound has plenty of tress and greenery.
I booked the room for my family for a short stay. The stay for them was really pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. The manager is a very nice and super helpful person and accomodated our request for late check in and check out.

We had arrived at Kottayam at 5.35 AM
So wanted a room to just get freshen & then travel to Kumarakom where our booking was.
We found this stay of 4 to 5 hrs excellent as good breakfast which was complementary, good service & good Staff.
Nothing!!!!! The worst place on booking.com. toilet didn't work, and was never fixed. Shower didn't work and never fixed. Wanted credit card payment as soon as I entered. This not even a one star hotel.
The staff are so well trained at this hotel, it was a pleasure interacting with them. And the grounds are beautiful. The pirate bar in the middle of the lake is the perfect setting for sundowner cocktails.
The hotel is close to the railway station and the boat jetty. The rooms are clean and include various amenities (charged separately). The restaurant food is reasonably priced.
No food or restaurant in the hotel. Also there is no lift facility. Not at all convenient as it is far away from Bus stand and Railway station. No room service at all.
