If not for the traffic would have enjoyed the place a lot more. Around the pine forest area, it took us 45 mins to cross 1km. Most of the time in the day was wasted in traffic. If you can leave as early as possible to the major spots and come back to the city in the evening. However the views were great and the drive was beautiful( wherever there was no traffic)

Good view points in Moir point, and a nice trek in Dolphin...
Good view points in Moir point, and a nice trek in Dolphin nose. Plus boating facilities opposite Bryant park and Kodai main lake. Upper lake view road and pine forests made this a memorable journey.
Most over rated place is Guna caves - nothing to see there and overhyped after the movie Manjummel boys. Caves are closed since 2016 is what I heard from the locals.
On the way from NH - you get 2 waterfalls, silver cascade and one more - and Dum dum view point which is memorable and scenic.
Not a lot of veg hotels here - Hilltop view restaurant and Truly herbivore are great choices, avoid Kodai veg restaurant and Punjabi dhaba - overpriced for the quality of food. Did not get a chance to visit Spices of aroma also in city center.
Had melted hot chocolate in Meltiess on the city center road.
All of these places are almost walking distance of each other from the BP petrol bunk next to the city lake.
Temperature in the day was 24-26 and was 15-18 at night. Avoid peak season due to traffic and some restirctions being put in may for limited vehicles allowed with e-pass etc. in place from May 7-30.

Kodaikanal is the best place to travel to during summer.
Kodaikanal is the best place to travel to during summer. But the problem is everybody knows about it and too much of crowd will be seen during holiday season. I feel the place just operates beyond it's capacity to accommodate tourists and most of them are disappointed because of the time one gets to spend on the road in between the jammed traffic

Views from Dolphin's nose in Vattakanal, The pillar rocks, Croakers walk and on the drive to Mannavanur lake are simply mesmerizing.
Eating at Altaf.s Cafe in Vattakanal, 10 Degrees North, The Royal Tibet, Mann Manam, Hotel New Imran Biryani and Cloud Street was fun.
Fruits locally grown in Kodaikanal like plums, pears, passion fruit , oranges, egg fruit were excellent.

We planned to visit few places but due to heavy traffic on 1 May (public holiday), we could visit Pillars rock, Green valley, Pine forest and the lake on the day. Next day we visited Silver Falls and did shopping! That's all.
We had already visited Kodaikanal few times and this trip was to purely enjoy the cool weather without aircon and pollution. Due to rain and crowd on public holiday, the traffic was terrible. Other than that, Kodai is always loveable during summer.
Better to avoid visiting Kodaikanal on public holidays and week-ends during summer!
· hotel was as shown in pics while booking. It was very easy for me to find the hotel. The service was also good, the staff is also very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was soo yummy. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends if they visit Kodaikanal then they should stay there. I am very happy with their services. Thank you The FABhotel for making my stay very comfortable. Everything about the hotel
One of the best stays for couples and even families in kodaikanal.. Reaching the property was a bit difficult due to road conditions but once you reach it , you'll have no regret coz everything in the property was sooo great, you'll sure get lost in it. "The toughest path will always take you to the most beautiful location" - this is the one!
We were late to the property due to bad weather conditions and the owner did not allowed us after 12 am and said "Itni raat ko kaun ata hai" though it was a confirmed booking. We have taken another hotel to spend night at 2AM. We were calling this guy on the given numbers to inform about checking time but they did not answer.
The view, and the proximity of the location from the main market was great. Cleanliness was amazing. There were 3 different areas to relax with friends (Hall, intermediate hall and dining area). The room facilities with the kettle, tea, coffee, glass water bottle (instead of plastic) was great to have!
Before my arrival they cancelled my booking without my permission. And he spoke very very rude with me. As weekends time I couldn’t get any hotels. And I returned the same day at night. Very very worst residency. Please try to avoid bookings from this sugan residency.
We booked it in advance , however we wanted to see how the place was, it was cancelled by the hotel in the last minute, we called to confirm the time and the person said they have cancelled our booking, thankfully we got something good when we reached there.
Excellent. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and the staff was amazing. The best hotel we have ever stayed at. Especially, staff was very hospitable and very helpful... I highly recommend this hotel for stay at kodaikanal for anyone visiting.
Our experience in AnnaiIllam was good. We had gone for a weekend trip to the city and the service at the hotel contributed in making it a memorable one. The breakfast spread was wholesome and the service was prompt.
Everything I liked but the location was top notch. It is just in front of the Kodaikanal bus stand on the Main Bazar road, in the center of the city. Every local site sightseeing is just a walk away.
