If not for the traffic would have enjoyed the place a lot more. Around the pine forest area, it took us 45 mins to cross 1km. Most of the time in the day was wasted in traffic. If you can leave as early as possible to the major spots and come back to the city in the evening. However the views were great and the drive was beautiful( wherever there was no traffic)

Good view points in Moir point, and a nice trek in Dolphin...
Good view points in Moir point, and a nice trek in Dolphin nose. Plus boating facilities opposite Bryant park and Kodai main lake. Upper lake view road and pine forests made this a memorable journey.
Most over rated place is Guna caves - nothing to see there and overhyped after the movie Manjummel boys. Caves are closed since 2016 is what I heard from the locals.
On the way from NH - you get 2 waterfalls, silver cascade and one more - and Dum dum view point which is memorable and scenic.
Not a lot of veg hotels here - Hilltop view restaurant and Truly herbivore are great choices, avoid Kodai veg restaurant and Punjabi dhaba - overpriced for the quality of food. Did not get a chance to visit Spices of aroma also in city center.
Had melted hot chocolate in Meltiess on the city center road.
All of these places are almost walking distance of each other from the BP petrol bunk next to the city lake.
Temperature in the day was 24-26 and was 15-18 at night. Avoid peak season due to traffic and some restirctions being put in may for limited vehicles allowed with e-pass etc. in place from May 7-30.

Kodaikanal is the best place to travel to during summer.
Kodaikanal is the best place to travel to during summer. But the problem is everybody knows about it and too much of crowd will be seen during holiday season. I feel the place just operates beyond it's capacity to accommodate tourists and most of them are disappointed because of the time one gets to spend on the road in between the jammed traffic

Views from Dolphin's nose in Vattakanal, The pillar rocks, Croakers walk and on the drive to Mannavanur lake are simply mesmerizing.
Eating at Altaf.s Cafe in Vattakanal, 10 Degrees North, The Royal Tibet, Mann Manam, Hotel New Imran Biryani and Cloud Street was fun.
Fruits locally grown in Kodaikanal like plums, pears, passion fruit , oranges, egg fruit were excellent.

We planned to visit few places but due to heavy traffic on 1 May (public holiday), we could visit Pillars rock, Green valley, Pine forest and the lake on the day. Next day we visited Silver Falls and did shopping! That's all.
We had already visited Kodaikanal few times and this trip was to purely enjoy the cool weather without aircon and pollution. Due to rain and crowd on public holiday, the traffic was terrible. Other than that, Kodai is always loveable during summer.
Better to avoid visiting Kodaikanal on public holidays and week-ends during summer!
The location , staff , food make this hotel the best place to stay..the front desk staffs are very welcoming and we're very accommodating.. they instantly allocated the room though we were earlier that the schedule check in time..
Hotel has to review their travel partner (for local siteseeing) which is not very reliable when it's comes to cost. The travel partner says one and while billing they ask more..the hotel should ensure that their reputation is not spolied because of thier current travel partner..
Loved the place. Beautiful scenic view from the pent house. Our room was in second floor and the balcony was very huge. The room was large and clean. The view from the balcony was mind blowing. The hotel had the home made food available. They served the breakfast, lunch and dinner by preparing there itself. Food was good but it was a bit costly. The hotel owner came with us as a guide/driver to show us the whole Kodaikanal city. He was very informative and helpful.
Stayed in two different signature suites wit beautiful mountain & valley view. Viewing sunrise from bed and Watching moving clouds wit morning coffee makes u feel in heaven. Birds chirping & squirrel play make ur mood so calm. Walking on grass with barefoot so chill & lovely. Having dinner near Fire place with wood - a dream come true. A very good n humble service from staffs n securities.. A beautiful place to visit again.
The property is located away from the hustle of the Kodaikanal town. Very quite with breathtaking view from every room of the hotel. The owner and his team take very good care to meet customer requirements, and to top it all is their food which is home cooked by the management itself. I would consider the meadows during my next visit to Kodaikanal.
Perfect prime location to enjoy your vacation in Kodaikanal. The hotel ambience was quiet good and the rooms and bathroom were clean enough. Waking up to mountain view was bonus and also a large beutiful lawn maintained with adds more beauty to the property. Very well maintained one and surely won't disappoint anyone planning for stay
The hotel is excellent. I saw the hotel & I was overwhelmed by their reception. The staff there at the reception
received us very warmly. The room too was very cozy and clean. The staff at the restaurant too were very sweet in attending and made us feel at home
jp home stay.. is a best cottage for family stay.. value for money.. the room is surrounded by full of nature.. like peaceful .. evening we enjoyed the glory of jewel box view of the kodaikanal city.. really best accommodation .. will stay next time also there..
We booked it in advance , however we wanted to see how the place was, it was cancelled by the hotel in the last minute, we called to confirm the time and the person said they have cancelled our booking, thankfully we got something good when we reached there.
we stayed in A frame bamboo room and it was very good surrounded by fruit trees and plants. it has separate grass lawn. something different in kodaikanal city area.mainly lake is very close to walk around. service boy kesav cared well service also good.
The room was completely desaster.dont believe booking app site because there is no crct review in that room is very dirty they didn't even provide soap and towels and the food complete flop total money waste if u choose this hotel ur trip will be flop
Nearest city property, all the shopping places, and restaurants within few steps only, very comfortable for transporting, room service and maintenance housekeeping and front office everything was great. thanks to the fab hotel and booking.com.
Kindly book this hotel.. Hotel staff was very humble and so helpful..We stucked before reaching Kodaikanal in untime , but the hotel manager help us to reach there safely by arranging a Cab at that time..This was a big help for us.. Thanks 🙏
