We didn't stay in the town which looked to be very busy but stayed at a resort which was located in a secluded valley outside the town. We did stay a few days in McLeodganj but it was too crowded and full of traffic pollution.

Dharamsala is a sprawling, working town in a very beautiful part of India. Unfortunately, the town does not match its surroundings and has little to offer the essential traveller. We went to watch Test match cricket in what is an impressive location but I would suggest that if the ground wants to hold more Test matches and T20s, then more investment needs to be made in the town itself in order to attract overseas visitors.

Dharamshala is a city in Himachal Pradesh that has a lot of attractions and natural scenery. It is the residence of the Dalai Lama and the center of Tibetan culture. It is also a place for spirituality, peace, and rejuvenation. It has two parts: the lower Dharamshala and the upper Dharamshala or McLeodganj. Some of the places to visit in Dharamshala are Dal Lake, Kangra Fort, Jwalamukhi Devi Temple, Tea Gardens, Bhagsu waterfalls and none but the least is the Dharamshala Ropeway

The traffic is poorly managed. The central part should not have ANY traffic, as is true of most European countries. There were NO pavements, and the roads were mostly too narrow to allow the vehicles, animals and humans to navigate in comfort. As a result, we could not go out for a leisurely walk - all we could do was to go from our hotel to the specific site that we planned on visiting, and back.

Dharamshala is good for the salubrious climate and a picturesque place which affords a breath-taking view of the Dhauladhar range of mountains. It has a lot of Tibetan monasteries and shops selling Tibetan food, products and medicines.
There are 4 shakthi sthals situated in the vicinity of Dharamshala. The Chinmaya tapovan is another worthy visit
This is the fake Property shown on Booking.com, When we reached the Property, the owner of property says they have not contract with Booking.com and they have not any booking for us. The Contact number of property given on the site is always switched off.
This was very Bad experience with booking.com. After suffering allot, finally I have spent double the money to book another offline Hotel because when calling to booking.com there is waiting of 10 to 15 minutes to take call and giving no resolution.
I have taken a private room for 2 people. The view of the dhauladhar range of Himalayas is excellent from the room. The room was clean and had good space for 2 people. Its location is also perfect, it's near the market only. Namgayal monastery, bhagasu nag waterfall can be covered by walking. The staff and owner were also very soft spoken. There was a bonfire on the terrace at night.
Overall it was a very nice budget stay in mcleodganj.

The hotel and stay were great! Especially the staff! They were very accommodating and helpful, there is also a great restaurant on rooftop, with amazing views! The Manager (regretfully I forgot his name, though I asked him few times) was very helpful, and accommodating, throughout both check in and check out, as well as during my stay.
This is a very good hotel located in the nice and quiet pleace with a beautiful view on city of Dharamshala, mountins and fields. The owner and manager Abishek is very helpfull and kind. The suff is polite and professional. I had a large clean and comfortable view and enjoyed my staying here. I can recommend Aashray villa to everyone.

The food was amazing. Fresh and delicious. The owner Mr. Roshan is an excellent guy who is there to help and guide you out about local markets and surroundings. It was an awesome experience to visit Mcleodganj and staying at this hotel made our trip more comfortable.
My stay at Shivaay Morex was a good one. The family suite was very nice with spacious rooms. Best part is the location which is centrally located in Bhagsunag - place is a little further to Dharamshala and McLeodganj with all the major attractions nearby.
