It depends what you want.
It depends what you want. I've been there several times as I have worked in India and it's very convenient for a short break before returning to the UK.There are a lot more tourists than there were even 5 years ago but it's the same nearly everywhere. The south of Goa is quieter and I guess so are parts of Kerala if you want beach but I haven't been for ages so not the best judge. There's a good choice of restaurants in Colva and the ATM usually works. You can walk around it in a very short time. There are lots of tourist shops selling the same stuff as every other tourist place in India. It's easy to get to from the airport. I go because I just want a short break in a convenient location with a clean beach.To be honest there are much more interesting places to see in India but they are not beach places. If you want beach go to S.E.Asia! Colva is fine but not "real" India.

We are not sunbathers, so felt Colva was geared up for people who didn’t want to do much.
There are loads of really good restaurants in Colva. They might not always look as Europeans expect, but when you go in even the smallest family restaurant the food is superb.
You don’t need to pay hotel prices for food.

Colva-South Goa has peaceful,serene beaches. It is not as congested as North Goa. The new roads make travel to north goa a breeze. We enjoyed food at Boomerang beach restaurant. Ensure you take mosquito repellent. Colva is situated near to other south Goa locations & it is easy to travel to North Goa.

Value for money was good.A bit long to walk to the beach .but there are buses that go to madgaon.we had tea which very tasty near by.not much rush at the beach.comfortable stay.3rd floor was given to us.next time ground floor I need being senior dona pav,churches,beaches,greenery arround,.we had food in panje karat hotel.it was good.best was near madgaon fish curry.too costly for vehicles arround.we are normal people south Indians too much pricy.

Colva is small and quiet located in South Go.
Colva is small and quiet located in South Go. If you're looking for action you should probably book in north Goa. This area is for resting, relaxing and there are a few bars where you can drink while watching the waves roll in. It's about 30 minutes from the airport.

Mr. Greg's assistance to get a 2 wheeler rental and his guidance towards sight seeing. This helped us to drive 320 kms in 3 days to cover both North and South Goa.
If you're a traveler looking for a place with no expectations of fancy add-ons, then this is your place.
Overall we had a good stay and great time in Goa!

Duplex 3 bedroom villa , easily accommodate 6 adults and 3 kids. The host is so generous that he don’t charge extra if there are 3 more adults.

It’s green surrounding and peaceful location is something rare .
Portugese villas in neighbourhood and 300 old chapel gives the true Goan vibes n feel.

We enjoyed our 5 nights thoroughly.The apartment was well equipped to handle adults and kids and with the kitchen and the utensils it made life easy.We had fun at the pool and beaches are nearby so are the shopping markets.I would recommend this property better than the hotel stay inside a four walled room.
The place was excellent.....good for a group stay n family stay too the host is very accommodating n good hospitality we had absolutely no glitches or problems wat so ever would definitely look forward to booking this place more often for our future stay n holidays
A lovely gated community of villas which is a better alternative for a group of 6 or more members. The service from the staff, the facilities and access to rest of South Goa is excellent. We had a vehicle at our disposal which made travelling a lot easier.
It was a friends and family trip with kids. We all enjoyed a lot. It was great fun. Coastal suites apart and hotel is amazing. We liked the whole property. Swimming pool was clean. Rooms were spacious and clean. Service was also good.
The property placed at great location. The beach was quite peaceful and the hotel provides good access and facilities. Food was excellent in taste accross goan, Chinese, north indian etc. Stuffs are very helpful with good behaviour.
Best place to stay in as long you stay in goa. we had stayed at multiple hotels, more premium than this but this one is best in all. Best pool, best comfortable space & best wifi in the best price.
Mr Sahadev was very helpful. Colva beach is just 2 mins walk away from the property. Also, there is a frequent bus service available nearby guest house to margao stand.
The hotel is facing the sea. There are many restaurants walkable distance for all meals reasonably priced. Colva Residency is good for families on shoe string budgets
