Very nice town and nearby quay; a good base for exploring the wider area too. Westport House closed during our visit but would have provided another interesting visit (some of the grounds were open). Plenty of local bars and restaurants.

Great base for visiting for the Wild Atlantic Way, We visited few places north in Ballina, Swinford, Foxford, and Castlebar highlight was doing Hawk Walk at Mount Falcon Estate and National Country Life Museum. Was close by and good roads to get around area. 2nd day visited Connemara from Wesport thru Leenane to Clifden. Saw numbers of nature areas, also did the Killary Sheep Farm tour(excellent), Kylemore Abbey(good), had great lunch in letterfrack at Guaires Peak small cafe, great ride around sky road outside Clifden, and finished day with excellent Seaweed Bath at Connemara Seaweeds baths and spa. Walked the shops in center of Clifden. Back in Westport had great dinner in "The West" on bridge street then bar hopped for music at least 4-5 good sessions going on downtown Westport. Especially like "The Helm", "McCarthy", MJ Hoban, and the "Towers"

I liked the live music in the bars, the choice of restaurants and the interesting shops. I got some lovely birthday presents while l was rambling round the town. Westport House and grounds are lovely, although the House is closed for renovations temporarily. Westport is a good base also for other interesting places in Mayo. All in all, good in any season.

Westport great town with lots pub some very typing of old Ireland, restaurants and shops. plus croak Patrick for sport or for religious activity. Westport house to have a great day with the family or just a romantic one. House to visit to plunge in back the history, and activities for the kids.
Lovely hotel, check-in staff were friendly and helpful, our room was very comfortable and clean , the bathroom was very modern, clean, & spacious. The hotel is situated in the town so you are within walking distance of the shops, pubs, restaurants etc, an ideal location. Breakfast was lovely and had a great selection to choose from. It was very reasonably priced for one night B&B. We will definitely be returning.
I could not have chosen a better place to celebrate my birthday with family. Westport Plaza hotel is an amazing hotel. Beds very comfortable, amazing jacuzzi bath in bathroom, clean was spotless, breakfast is really superb, restaurant food is good and the bar too, staff are veryfriendly. I would recommend without excitation.
This was a lovely apartment extremely well-located in the center of the city. Aiden was a wonderful host, met us at the apartment with the keys, and as it turned out he went out of his way to accommodate us when the hot water heater ceased to function. With no weekend repairman available, Aiden moved us to a neighboring hotel.
We will definitely be back to the beautiful Westport Coast Hotel again. Lovely scenic location. Very close to Westport house which was perfect for walking and sight seeing. Staff were so friendly. Ate dinner in the bar and had breakfast the next morning. Food and service was 10/10. Jenny (Wicklow)
The breakfast was beautiful great menu and we will definitely be back to try the restaurant.. beautiful clean modern hotel I was a little worried our room was on the front and I thought I'd hear the traffic outside no didn't hear a thing.. the shower was the showstopper it was beautiful
Immaculate accommodation, could not fault it. Extremely clean, super hot water for the showers. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Ideal location for us as we had a wedding in the Westport woods hotel, only 2mins walk. Will definitely recommend and also will return again
The hotel location was great. It was very near the center of town which made it a short walk. The room had a good size TV to watch from the bad and there was an AC for when it was hot and muggy outside. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and menu with hot foods.
We like everything, The rooms were fairly large for Europe with comfortable bath rooms. The restaurant was very good for supper. Breakfast was outstanding. The front desk staff were super. The location is also great. It also has parking lots behind the hotel.
Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Lots of parking spaces outside, very close the Greenway & only a 10 minute walk into the town. Breakfast was really good, probably better than what you would be served in a fancy hotel. We would stay again.
Lovely room, clean and cosy. Great pool and gym facilities. Lovely breakfast and a fantastic location within easy walk of the harbour and also Westport town. This was our second stay at Westport Woods hotel, we would definitely come back.
This is a lovely small hotel tucked away in the countryside in Mayo. The location is perfect, totally silent and about 5k from Westport town. The food was lovely there. Service was great and the bedroom was spotless and spacious.
This was the best stay on our trip to Ireland . Our room was like a hotel room with charm. The view and land was gorgeous. The hostess was lovely. Breakfast was in a beautiful sunroom. Close to everything we wanted. To see
Mr. Maddon, our host was wonderful. The restaurant was excellent. The hotel is located perfectly to walk to everything.
They called to make reservations for us as well as for taxi when needed.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, lovely hotel to stay in. Only a short walk to town or taxi is two mins. I look forward to staying there again.
