The meals were a pleasant surprise. Delicious meals reasonably priced. They served a standard breakfast. Lunch and dinner were a excellent.
On the shores of Clew Bay, Ardmore Country House is a 5-minute walk from Westport harbour.

The host was lovely very friendly, the bedrooms were spacious and clean.
For breakfast, you had a menu with a
good range of choices.
She came out with a birthday cake for my husband, which I taught was a lovely gesture.

I liked the live music in the bars, the choice of restaurants and the interesting shops. I got some lovely birthday presents while l was rambling round the town. Westport House and grounds are lovely, although the House is closed for renovations temporarily. Westport is a good base also for other interesting places in Mayo. All in all, good in any season.

Westport is a small town but has everything traveller could wish for. Loads of great bars and restaurants. Independent shops abound. There s s lovely atmosphere at this time of year. The locals are very friendly and it is a pleasure to visit. Close to the town are wonderful beaches and the village of Louisburgh nearby is also well worth a stop.
Finally Westport is about an hour's scenic drive from magical Achill Island.

Westport is a charming picturesque bustling Irish town...
Westport is a charming picturesque bustling Irish town situated in the West of Ireland and central to Connemara and Atlantic Way. High quality pups and eateries with traditional Irish flair, great for foodies and coffee shop lovers alike.
Traditional Irish pubs with Irish music overlook the town square and the old bridge which crosses the river where fly fishermen cast their rods. The local people are friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast was superb especially because YOU decided what you wanted and they cooked it - custom made - especially for you! The location is excellent especially since I was attending a wedding at the very close by Knockranny Hotel. It is also just a short and very beautiful scenic walk from the town centre. The accommodation is superbly clean, lovely bright modern decor and the bathroom has the coolest mirror I ever saw! Smart flat screen TV with Netflix and Youtube. Lovely quiet location. Overall Excellent rating!
We enjoyed just about everything about the hotel. Breakfast was great. You order the main course and have yogurts, cereals, fruit and pastries to choose from. Great start to the day. We ate at Porto one evening. We enjoyed our dinner and our server, Shane, was great.
We had a beautiful carved four poster bed with lovely bed linens and very comfy bed and great robes. The shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water. The hotel is also in a great location, close to shopping, pubs and restaurants.
The house has been transformed into a rambling B&B with character and vintage charm, and the rooms are appointed well and comfortable, spacious, and the location is good--without knowing more of Westport can't say it's the best location, though fancier/tour hotels are next door. Walking to the river and main street was 5 minutes. Everything was clean and our room was quiet. Breakfast was good--not memorable but filling. Great value for the price and a good night's sleep!
This B&B exceeded expectations in both comfort, kindness, and a stunning Irish and Continental Breakfast choice. The breakfast exceeded those in hotels, non greasy, quality Irish Breakfast, with locally sourced Black and White Pudding as an added bonus. Healthy options were available, and the waitress was charming. Great service and really comfortable beds. The best power shower I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this B&B.
Loved the central in-town location. Check in was super easy, all the staff we met throughout our stay were very friendly, professional and helpful as regards things to see and do, and places to eat. We ate in the hotel restaurant and had a lovely meal, decently priced and in a comfortable restaurant. Lots of locals seemed to be eating there too which is always a good sign.
Nice, modern, newer hotel in the heart of Westport. Comfy bed. Fully functional bath. Plenty of space for a couple and their large bags. Good variety of good food at breakfast. A friendly bar in the evening. All the staff were great. We asked for a room away from Mill Street, and it was pretty quiet, even on Saturday night.
The hard-working and absolutely lovely staff truly made the Clew Bay Hotel feel like coming home. A great location for walking around the town. Because of older family members, we used taxis to get from/to the train station, and out to The Quay. Enjoyed breakfasts and an evening meal. The room was quirky and spotlessly clean.
Hi stayed in the Wyatt Hotel for 3 nights, the hotel is so central to town, totally comfortable, delicious food in the bar and the breakfast so delicious. When we got there we were upgraded at no extra cost and the room and bed was just fantastic.
Location was perfect. Great rooms, fantastic staff, excellent breakfast. Our 1st stay-we are fans of this hotel. Westport proved to be a real gem for shopping, restaurants, outdoor activities, and site seeing. We will return.
Very nice introduction to the facilities from a friendly and helpful team at the Hotel. The facilities are excellent and its location above the town gives a superb panoramic view of Westport and the surrounding area.
Easy access self parking. Coffee condiments included an espresso package and plenty of creamer! Hotel restaurant “Covey’s” had a good continental breakfast (not included room rate).
The staff were very helpful and friendly, lovely hotel to stay in. Only a short walk to town or taxi is two mins. I look forward to staying there again.
