Breakfast is great. Rooms very comfortable and food very good. Rooms were a little tired and odd things could be improved, for example we had a very noisy bathroom fan, and handles were loose on bedside tables. But very clean. Also staff were all lovely

Good location for my travel purposes. Easy to find and plenty of car parking available.
Easy check in. Small single room with single bed, but a bed and shower for one night was all I needed. Host was very responsive to queries prior to arrival. Bathroom was clean. Very early checkout was no issue.

It’s an excellent price, really comfortable and the staff are great.
Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart.
Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart. The guided tour of the keep is quite good. There is a friendly family of donkeys in a pasture just down the road from the castle and you are allowed to feed them (a sign with foods that are allowed is in the pasture). Trim is a great base for exploring Bru na Boinne, Mellifont Abbey, the Hill of Tara and other areas of interest. I actually;lly would have stayed 3-4 nights instead of 2, but we had reservations in a different area.

Trim castle is awesome!
Trim castle is awesome! The tour provides historical, anecdotal and architectural context for the structure, and the grounds have detailed markers and schematics to help you understand what you're seeing. We needed more time to explore the grounds, the ruined Abbey, and surrounding areas. Dinner at the Stock House restaurant provided a good steak and interesting decor to explore. Definitely a stop for a day or two on our next trip to Ireland.

We only stayed in Trim one night.
We only stayed in Trim one night. We went to the castle which is in pretty good shape. Entry is free but you can pay for a guided tour of the Keep which you should do.
We ate dinner at the Trim Castle Hotel in the Bailey Brasserie. It is a little expensive but we thought the meal was very good. The host was friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that our waiter was very busy and not very attentive but this would not keep me from returning.

Came to the hotel for a wedding.
Came to the hotel for a wedding. Lovely scenery of the castle from the rooftop and some rooms. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. My room was nice and had everything I needed and the breakfast was very nice. I paid €190 for 1 night stay in a double room which I thought was too expensive for a Monday night but overall I enjoyed my stay.

Trim is a beautiful town, with plenty to interest both adults and children. There are plenty of independent cafes and restaurants, making a lovely change from high streets with global chains.
Lovely walks along the river and around the Norman castle, the focal point of the town.
Location is really nice with trim castle just a few steps away! And even though staying in a bar can be noisy and busy which is expected it was really peaceful and calming, rooms are spacious beds are really comfortable, staff make the stay 100% better really friendly and eager to help making you feel much more comfortable, I would like to thank all staff at brogans bar & hotel as it was me and my partners first weekend away since our baby was born and staff couldn't have made it any better cant wait to stay again!
Our room was spotless and big. Bed was extremely comfortable. We had booked to have breakfast which was really delicious with a good variety of options and freshly cooked. Rob and Caroline run a lovely hotel and are very welcoming. There is a coffee machine to make whatever coffee you want, whenever you want it, as well as tea/coffee in the room.
A very nice overnight stay in Trim.
Large rooms with an extremely comfortable bed! The most comfortable of our entire trip. The owner was very welcoming and provided us with recommendations to enjoy our last evening in Ireland. We wish we would’ve had time to try to hot breakfast before leaving for the airport. If we come back to Trim someday, we would without a doubt stay here!
A good stop over for a function such as a wedding or event, even though our event was not in knightsbrook but another hotel. The staff our very accommodating and there has obviously been an improvement in their training.
good location for exploring the sights of the local area.
ideal for middle aged male golfers who like to drink.
Mary was an exceptional and accommodating host - and even let us use the laundry machine and drying line outside in a pinch. the room was very comfortable, with plenty of towels. Maybe our favorite host in all of Ireland! And that’s before even mentioning the breakfast which she modified for our dietary preferences.
Our room had a small balcony overlooking the garden. We were able to walk to town via the river walk, which Mary suggested, to see the town of Trim and have dinner. The breakfast was wonderful. This was our first night in Ireland and it was a great place to stay.
Great value.
Self catering house clean, well maintained and well equipped.
Staff very helpful.
Got to use the swimming pool, sauna and steam room which was part of the stay.
Will be returning and Would highly recommend knightsbrook hotel courtyard accomodation.
Exceptional staff. Comfortable room, had a minor plumbing problem, dealt with by the staff. Probably the best restaurant in Trim on site. Great value.
Bonus: Staff allowed us to park our rental motorcycles overnight on their secure back patio.
We loved this spot. After a long flight from Australia we wanted to get out of Dublin but not drive to far. The little village of Trim (5min away) was a perfect welcome to Ireland. This property was quiet, very comfortable and welcoming.
Pam and her family are excellent hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable with a view of rolling farmland. The breakfast is top quality. Trim is a wonderful location to visit on any stay in Ireland.
Beautiful room in a beautiful hotel. Exceptional service from reception to wait staff in the dining room. I had rental car trouble and the front desk women were very helpful
