We stayed here Thursday 20th June 2024
Everything
The location was ideal, so central walking distance from shops, restaurants & pubs.
The accommodation was top class, so comfortable and ideal for us and our three teens .
The host (Cathal) provided Tea,Coffee, milk, and bars for us to have a cuppa.
He met us on arrival ( he was extremely obliging to facilitate our arrival time via text as we were unsure what time we would get there) and showed us around and gave us all the details of where to go in the area for food & a drink etc.
Mellet's one of Irelands oldest pub is in Swinford, so we got to have a drink there on the night we arrived. We arrived in a fabulous spot. You could spend hours there looking at all the memorabilia in the place .
And the service there is excellent too.
Late checkout was welcomed as we were tired, and not having to rush out early the following morning was ideal.
Cathal recommended a restaurant for breakfast the following morning in a place called "Lettuce Eat" and I would recommend it too even if you're only passing through Swinford, the venue, staff and food all top class .
Forgot to ad this was excellent value.
I wish we could have stayed longer, and I do hope to return here again in the future.
Thanks Cathal we had a great stay.
Best wishes for continued success.

There for family gathering a few miles away.
There for family gathering a few miles away. Good situation to explore the surrounding area and....get to the sea. If self catering shops all within walking distance. On the whole excellent roads with the exception of the quirky single track roads with grass growing up the middle ....satnav seemed to have a penchant for finding a route using some of these L roads....beware😂😱. Main roads generally have excellent surfaces. Plenty good eating places around area.

Michael Davitt: he lived in the workhouse in Swinford with his mum when he was four years old. He became an important human rights advocate for here and other colonial countries, which have had very little voice in governments. Go visit the famine graveyard in Swinford, behind the hospital. County Mayo could have easily grown enough food to support its own population, but the crops was exported, and the people here starved - heartbreaking,
Swinfrord Bridge Apartment was a clean, spacious and comfortable place to spend 2 nights during our self-driving tour of Ireland. Everything we required was provided, including bread, eggs, milk, jams, etc for our first breakfast. There was some problem with the wifi, which the hostess promptly fixed by bringing an extra router. We really enjoyed our stay there!
Location was great for what we needed. Close to Swinford with shops and restaurants/takeaways close by. Plenty of parking in a safe location. Hosts were nearby for anything we needed. Warm, spacious, cosy house. Really comfortable beds. Modern appliances and everything we needed to cook. Scones on arrival were a lovely touch. We will definitely be back!
This is a great 3 bedroom apartment in the centre of Swinford town close to shops, restuarants, pubs and local amenties such as Knock Airport and many beauty spots in the area. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The host, Cathal, was very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment.
We stayed in the annex, which was very comfortable. Ambience and decor was nice in the whole hotel. Staff were helpful/friendly. Parking was easy. Breakfast was ideal: porridge followed by full Irish: gluten free provided once they were aware of the need.
Lovely b+b hosted by a lovely couple.
Great choice for breakfast. Clean and cosy room. Plenty of hot water and a choice of bath or shower.
Swinford is a nice village. Few places to eat out and a big tesco if you need anything.
We will be back. Thank you.
The property was bright and airy and very clean. The staff were excellent especially Stephen - thanks for your brilliant service and interesting chat. We had lunch dinner and breakfast in the hotel - it was all lovely and cooked to our requests.
Very homely. Spotless clean. I am glad we chose thre instead of a hotel as we were going to a wedding the day after. Plenty of space to get ready and relax. I would highly recommend Fraunhill if you want a relaxing atmosphere
