Such a lovely estate and hotel. So much character and the rooms were ideal. The service was perfect, breakfast in particular was a big plus, a perfect opportunity to catch up on the previous day's events and set up for the day ahead.
The grounds were special as you might expect given the golf course, but nonetheless less, a pleasurable walk was on hand.
Would highly recommend and we'd love to return.

The extra little touches like freshly baked brown bread, tea bags, butter, and milk in the fridge went down a treat.
The surroundings outside the cottage were beautiful and very peaceful, and we were a wee bit sorry we didn't take full advantage by booking for 2 nights.

The room was perfect. Had everything requires. The hotel itself is a brilliant combination of old classic with modern comforts. Would recommend it. The breakfast was perfect, had plenty choice. All the staff were lovely and were very attentive

I had a comfortable room with desk, small TV, and large bathroom with bath and shower, in the more recent extension (60s?) to the traditional-style hotel. The hotel was very centrally-located with a bar, dining room and snug, and did a good varied breakfast. I found the staff at breakfast particularly cheerful and nice.
