Elm Grove, hotel in Skull

Set in Schull, County Cork region, Elm Grove is located 24 km from St Patrick's Cathedral, Skibbereen. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi.

The spacious room had a wardrobe/cupboards on each side of the comfortable double bed which made organising our things very practical. No kitchen access or breakfast included but a variety of beverage options and bonbons were available, and Schull is just a few minutes walk away. The hosts were a lovely couple, friendly and trusting, and gave us the space we needed. We felt entirely 'chez nous' at Elm Grove.

Barry is a very friendly host who even carried my suitcase up the 2 stairs (in an old house!) to the 2nd floor and lent me a hairdryer at once when I asked him. The views from the room across the harbour are stunning. The breakfast was a more Continental one, but with a big variety of cheese, bananas, fresh fruit salad made from at least 6 kinds of fruit, smoked salmon, cereals, ...

Firstly the town's name is SCHULL not SKULL!!

Firstly the town's name is SCHULL not SKULL!! Charity shops were a great source of 2nd hand books. The restaurant L'Escale served delicious fresh fish and chips. The variety of shops would suit all pockets! Stunning walks all around the area. The Planetarium is a must.
