Michelle and Mark are lovely and the location is spectacular- The cabin is at Carrowkeel and I sense it is on sacred land. It's clean, comfortable and has everything I needed for a few days of research at Carrowkeel for my Metaphysical Ireland projects. Highly recommended as a beautiful, quiet space to explore. I wish I could have stayed longer. My dog loved playing with their dog as well. A perfect few days.

I recently stayed at Kathleen’s Carrowkeel Cottage, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The cottage itself is a beautiful blend of traditional farmhouse charm and modern interior comforts. Nestled in a peaceful, quiet area, it offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The house is super clean—everything was spick and span, with no unpleasant smells in the kitchen or elsewhere. It’s very well designed, with comfort and coziness clearly in mind. From the layout to the thoughtful furnishings, it felt like a home away from home.
One of the highlights for me was the view out the back—two majestic horses in the backyard and a cow farm just beyond, adding to the unique countryside feel. It was a different experience waking up to the sights and sounds of the farm, which added a lovely, authentic touch to my stay.
While there is no Wi-Fi at the cottage, I was able to get a good 5G signal in the kitchen, so staying connected wasn't an issue.
Overall, Carrowkeel Cottage is a lovely place for anyone looking to relax in a serene environment while still enjoying all the comforts of a modern home.

Great hotel that has everything. We loved the swimming pool on site and the little areas for the kids to play. The breakfast was superb, great choice and all good produce and cooked perfectly. Our room was a family room which was actually 2 rooms, the kids loved having their own rooms and own beds.
Overlooking Mount Knocknarea, the Strandhill Lodge and Suites Boutique Hotel are 10 minutes’ walk from sandy beaches and just 1-mile from Sligo Airport.

Village location, but away from the throng - quiet, undisturbed. Convenient for everything though. Lovely views from the room. Of all the hotels I've ever stayed in, this was my favourite.

We stayed in Ardagh suites on the outskirts of Riverstown, we did not spend a lot of time in the village as we had all we required at our accommodation. The village seemed very nice with a local pub and takeaways chemist etc. The general area was well maintained and pleasant looking.
