Thank you so much for our stay in your modern home - we were overwhelmed by your hospitality and your gorgeous breakfast which was prepared so lovingly.
We loved our Irish room with all its amenities and would certainly come back for more days exploring the nice surrounding.
Many thanks and all the best for Paul's new coffee shop experience😊

The breakfast was good except it had been microwaved, so the bacon was like a rock, the eggs were hard and clearly reheated. The hash brown was soggy from reheating. The sausages and fruit were good. I requested lactose free milk ahead of arrival and it was not available.
The worst part was my evening meal, I paid a supplement to have the striploin steak and I couldn't barely cut it with a steak knife, the parsnips were inedible as they were like rocks. I like my veg al dente though these were raw and could literally break a tooth.. I sent it back and it was taken off my bill though the dinning experienced was ruined and disappointing.
The spa massage and facial were really lovely as was my treatment provider. The dry floatation consisted of being lowered into a hot bath while wrapped in a plastic waterproof blanket, it was a waste of time and my back was sore afterwards, as there is no back support when lying there as if on a plastic hammock!! Seriously, a complete waste of time. There were no refreshments apart from water in the chill out area in the spa when fruit and juice is customary in all spa's attended previously.
The hotel is lovely, a little tired, the staff were very nice, the food is mediocre at best and the spa needs some fine tuning. There is no smoking facility so guest are met with giant ashtrays at the door with a host of smokers and they were forced to stand outside the front door in the rain. I would not recommend this hotel for the money. Our bill with all deals was 600 euro (vat only mentioned and added at checkout) for 2 people sharing a twin room for 1 night b & b, with a dreadful meal and reheated breakfast. A new chef/kitchen staff would be a game changer. The room charge for 2 breakfast trays is 10 euro per tray!! We were given a late checkout which was appreciated. Thanks,

It was only an overnight stay. Saturday to Sunday
So late arrival on Saturday meant most place had closed.
The Riverside Bar and Grill just a stone's throw from the Cody Lodge.
with its excellent rooms was open.
The Riverside Bar and Grill has excellent food and a menu to suit all tastes.
You will feel at home here because it is how the staff and owners will make you feel. Serving some excellent what I call real man food. Recommend the roast beef. Don't worry Michelle will look after you.
Michael that be Michael Kehoe the captain of this fine ship. Is a pure gentleman and as down to earth as they come. He will go out of his way to make your stay memorable.
Then on top of all that there is live music several nights a week.
You just cannot go wrong it has everything you could possibly want.
I had to depart Bunclody early on Sunday morning. But if the service and welcome received in The Riverside Bar and Grill is anything to go by. You will be in for a pleasant surprise in what could be one of Irelands best kept secret's.

Inland rural busy village, lots of life and activity on main street. Shops and facilities walking distance. Friendly locals, River Slany never too far away. Maybe not a tourism heavy hitter, but all the better for that. Beautiful countryside nearby in every direction.

Alas, it was raining hard when we were in Bunclody so most of the nearby attractions were off limits unless to seals! But Phil, our delightful hostess at Meadowside B & B, told us best local places to eat and drink, and offered lots of background information. We could not recommend this residence more, and in summer it must be a joy.

Lovely town with great selection of places to eat.
Lovely town with great selection of places to eat. Locals very friendly & willing to help out. Beware though as on Monday not all restaurants or bars were open, a little research will help with that.
On arrival we were greeted by Charlie who is very friendly and helpful. He explained how the key cards worked and showed us to our room.
The accommodation was very clean and what we expected for what we paid. Very central location as it in on the main street in Bunclody just walking distance to the local shops, bars and cafes.
I would stay here again and would recommend it for somewhere clean, safe and affordable!
We should have stayed longer!! The property is beautiful in a wonderful part of Ireland. Close to castles, national parks, mountains and the cost. But situated in a cute little sleep y town. Right next to a great golf course. Cathy thinks of everything and makes sure the guests feel welcome, as if in their own home. Breakfast was amazing!! Rooms are clean and spacious. Easy and secure parking.
WOW!!!! Loved everything about our stay. Phil is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble. She is so warm and kind, it's like staying with your family. Breakfast was wonderful. Beautiful room in wonderful surroundings. We had everything we needed. We will definitely be back as we have family in Bunclody. We've been spreading the word about this gem of a B&B. See you very soon Phil xxx
Phil is such a warm and kind host. The property is spotless clean, beautifully furnished and maintained.
The delicious breakfast included a variety of options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meadowside. There is plenty to see and do around Bunclody. Every blessing to Phil, many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable 😊 Rachael and Ralph xo
This place is a hidden gem, we booked a room with 2
Beds 1 double and 1 single, the room was huge, and the bathroom was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. A really nice shower and bath. Excellent coffee machine with coffee and hot chocolate. It’s close to everything on the Main Street and you wouldn’t know it’s there!!!
Charlie was a wonderful host. He was very accommodating. The rooms are spacious, very clean, modern & comfortable. Complimentary water, tea/coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits in each room. While there is no onsite bar or restaurant, everything you could possibly need is just a few steps away. Excellent central location.
Modernized hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and relaxing. Bunclody is a wonderful little town. Charlie was so knowledgeable and helpful. He shared a lot of history and fun facts about the town . Parking was very easy. I had a window view of the city which I really enjoyed.
As always, very nice rooms, always clean and spacious, I always enjoy using the bathtubs. Place is conveniently located; there aren't any dining facilites on site, but you're close to several restaraunts, so you have plenty of options to choose from within walking distance.
Cathy & Paul were excellent hosts. They were vey accommodating with all of our requests. Regarding the accommodation itself, it was one of a kind. A newly built house that was very comfortable, clean, spacious and bright. I would totally recommend staying there.
The cottage was beautiful and Cathy made sure we settled in and had everything we needed. The breakfast was a delicious fry with fruit bowl, coffee, tea and was better than many breakfasts I've had in hotels. The location is great too.
Beautiful old property in town yet feels rural. Hostess is simply wonderful. Great food, stunning rooms. Garden out back. Bunclody’s on the Wicklow Way so access to hikes and sights and gardens and castles I.e. a superb location.
Meadowside is right in the lovely village of Bunclody. The lady of the house was very friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and great value. The breakfast was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very clean room, very specious, the bed was really comfy. The location was excellent, it's right on the main street of Bunclody but it isn't noisy. Nice clean showers.
