The place was right in the town, so central…. We were cycling so we had to leave the bikes in a communal hall….. outside that little issue, the place was amazing!

The only good point, good location, only a few miles out of Dublin.
Just a 15-minute drive from Dublin’s centre, The Springfield Hotel is situated in the centre of Leixlip. It offers free parking, and a modern restaurant serving hearty cuisine.
Small, busy university town. Varied restaurant types.
Small, busy university town. Varied restaurant types. Italian pizzeria Falò and Indian restaurant recommended. Well served by public transport to Dublin and the airport. There is much more to discover about Maynooth than meets the eye. If you are interested and have time, ask and you will be pleasantly surprised!

I wasn't in Maynooth as a tourist, I was visiting family. But I know it is a very nice place with good restaurants and interesting places to visit in the vicinity. It is also not too far from Dublin city.

The location on the advert suggested it was in Maynooth.
The location on the advert suggested it was in Maynooth. It wasn’t. Very frustrating to not have supplied an eircode for travel to the accommodation
The dirty toilet and scruffy tattered blind did not enhance our visit.

The owners were extremely helpful, informative, polite and hospitable. They went out of their way each day to check on us and see if we needed help seeing the sights of Dublin. They were very warm and caring.

There is so much to see and do in Maynooth and within a few minutes drive. It is one of those hidden gems that most people don't know about. We did a castle tour and our OPW guide was so knowledgeable. We visited St Patrick's College which is just so full of history and has wonderful gardens and ivy covered buildings. A short drive from Maynooth (<3 miles) we saw Connolly's Folly (The Obelisk), Carton House, and Castletown House and Parklands where we had another OPW tour after we strolled through the tree trail and gardens. We had a pint in the Roost. We had wonderful meals in several local restaurants. We took the train into Dublin. The Train Station is just across the street from the Hotel - so convenient and such a nice train ride. We did some necessary shopping in Maynooth and found everything that we needed walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed the small town charm of Maynooth with the amenities we wanted.

Unfortunately we did not stay long enough to explore Maynooth and had a short walk in the town the evening we arrived. It seemed lovely and there were some bars and fast food outlets near the campus and our stay at campus itself was not disturbed in any way by it's closeness to the bars, it was a very peaceful location.
I was in Maynooth for an intensive driving course at Leinster Driving Campus, so the location of this accommodation was perfect for that. The college campus is lovely. The apartment was clean and staff at reception very friendly. Maynooth is a very nice town and this accommodation is only a few minutes walk to the town centre. I had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again if I had reason to come to Maynooth again outside of college term time.
Hotel was gorgeous. It was a 2 minute walk from Maynooth train station. Restaurant was lovely and intimate. The hotel room was very spacious and spotless clean. The big fan in the room was great. The beer garden was great too especially because we had a lovely day when we stayed. Did not eat at the hotel but I saw guests food been delivered and it looked great well presented. Would 100 percent stay again
This was a beautiful house in the Kildare countryside. It was so peaceful. The room was old style with big windows and a very comfortable bed.
Jim was a friendly welcoming host. We were attending a wedding in Barberstown Castle and Jim gave us a lift over (approx 10 minutes by car) which we appreciated so much.
Perfect location in Maynooth. Very clean room and I felt safe in the facility.
The bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. I loved all the accommodations in the kitchenette that was included as well.
I will definitely be staying at this location again when we are next in Maynooth.
This property is very unique — property within Maynooth University campus, old building, next to the castle ruins. My son has just finished his education abroad program there. We visited him and toured the campus before returning to the US. The room was clean, very spacious, and quiet at night.
Kind thoughtful and welcoming hosts. Shared bathroom was not a problem. It was sparkling clean and right next to my room. I had a comfortable and peaceful night well within reasy reach of direct train into central Dublin in the early morning.. Perfect for my requirements and excellent value
Fantastic place in the hearth of Maynooth. Located around 25km west from Dublin. All necessary shops and restaurants nearby. Bus stop just outside the door, train 5 min walk. Room very clean and fully equiped. Very comfortable bed, nice kitchenette with basic utensils. Highly recommended!
Location-very convenient to access the course I was doing in Maynooth. Good choice at breakfast with a great variety of fresh fruit available, in addition to full Irish/continental breakfast etc. very clean and comfortable with a very helpful staff.
LOVELY location. Very clean and updated room and bathroom. Great communication with owners, even when we needed to contact them late in the evening. Nice quiet location with short drive to the commuter train in Maynooth.
Everything. It was a real treat to stay here. The hotel and the grounds are fabulous. But it's the staff that really make the place special. We were looked after from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be back!
Amazing location and setting. Beautiful buildings. Staff incredibly friendly and lovely breakfast. Really handy for the restaurants and bars in Maynooth.
