The room was nice, the bed super comfy, breakfast was delicious but the best part was listening to Liam tell jokes and stories. He is a very sweet host!

This was a home away from home! And it had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed about 1.5 miles to the north of the main part of town and were only there for the one night. It has a very reliable bus service from Cork route 245. Is based either side of a river and has all the expected amenities, fuel, shopping stores etc.

Fermoy the largest British Garrison Camp during the empire,...
Fermoy the largest British Garrison Camp during the empire, it posted troops through out Empire via a roll on roll off train Ship, this left the Port of Holyhead Wales for Dublin Port. It rolled off Men, heading for their Stationed Camp Fermoy. The rail siding was part of the camp & connected to Cobh Port. Cobh is the last port the great 'Titanic' sailed from. Cobh was the main departure point for British troops leaving for Empire duties. Fermoy Town House, part of a purpose built Officer Square of apartment accommodation. Our rooms were once occupied by Officers. Fermoy is a beautiful Irish town full of Irish spirit, the Irish & British have history, its in the walls, come feel it !!

Friendly. Safe. Clean.
Friendly. Safe. Clean. Easy to walk around, no matter what time of day. Plenty of free parking nearby. Fine for single travellers, especially women. Not too far from the motorway and well sign posted. Great motorway services nearby.

Many shops, bars and restaurants.
Many shops, bars and restaurants. There is good angling in the Blackwater but you need a permit for it. Town can carry some traffic to Dublin that does not want to pay the toll to use the motorway. Regular buses to Cork and Dublin. Many clothes shops there as well.

Fermoy is a very interesting place full of history.
Fermoy is a very interesting place full of history.
The Town is quaint in parts and offers lovely river views.
The people are very welcoming and helpful.
On the down side, some of the churches were locked up.
We found directions to the Military Cemetery and Famine graveyard confusing, but we found them eventually.
It’s a shame that some of the old barracks etc were not saved or preserved... as a museum or such like.
As they played a huge part of the history of Fermoy.
We found no sign of a Museum or exhibition etc about Fermoy ... maybe we missed it?
We walked down to “ the Mill” we couldn’t really make out what was it, a wildlife sanctuary?
River trail ? Abandoned building ?
We felt rather uneasy there, and left very quickly?
Seems a real waste of a possible attraction.
By far the biggest let down in Fermoy was the lack of Tourist information.
Coupled with a lack of Public Toilets.... and worse
When we did find the toilets adjoining the Tourist information Centre .... they were appalling ... an absolute disgrace!
Glad our hotel was close by, it was the place we could use a clean toilet!
Host Tricia is so genuinely nice and welcoming and ensures that you feel at home while also keeping the place in top shape. The house is set in beautiful parkland overlooking Fermoy which further adds to its charm.
My room was lovely - very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The kitchen is amazing - you can make your own tea and coffee and there is a very generous supply of lovely food for snacks and breakfast. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely stay there again.
Everything was perfect - from the building, the wonderful people working at the inn, to the beautiful scenery around the compound. It's truly an unforgettable experience, being able to stay in a structure that's been preserved so well since the 1700s. The room was really comfortable and neat as well, and I appreciated the warm breakfast made by them every morning :) Truly a delight if you'd like a quiet and serene stay, a bit away from the main Cork city. I'll definitely want to come back here!
Ray couldn't have been more hospitable. He gave a touch of the old Ireland - so friendly, kind and helpful. He went out of his way to make my stay extremely comfortable. Even gave me a lift to another venue as there were no taxis available at the time. I couldn't recommend the place more. I will definitely look to stay here again if I come to Fermoy.
It's a very comfortable place to stay. It's impeccably clean, nicely decorated, quiet atmosphere, private bathroom, tv in living room and bedroom. It also provides kitchen privileges, though I didn't use them. It's in the square in Fermoy, so you have access to everything. People in Fermoy are very friendly and helpful.
The place was very quiet in a somewhat rural setting on the outskirts of Fermoy. It was enclosed with rock walls, so was very secure and had nice off-street parking so our motorcycle was safe. Also, they had a well-stocked common kitchen with basic ingredients and utensils there for making breakfast or snacks.
I loved this property for its location, ample parking, very friendly staff, good food, comfortable room and bed and most of all it had TWO FREE ELECTRIC charging points for my fully electric car which is one of the main reasons I choose this hotel but all in all it exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend
Perfect location in the middle of town. Everything is a short walking distance. Rooms, facilities etc. All as expected if not better. Ray, property manager, is fantastic. Very helpful and accommodating, especially if you are not familiar with the town. I've found it ideal for short and long stays.
Staff was very friendly, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. Room was great ; breakfast very good; grounds were spacious and allowed for walking ; common room the best I’ve seen.
Highly recommend to anyone heading south to Cork or west to Kerry as a superb place to stay .
The place is magical. It has been modernised in a wonderful way to make it seem really homely and comfortable and at the same time provide all that I would expect from a 5 star country hotel. We strongly recommend it.
Excellent location close to Cork, very quiet with a lovely atmosphere amongst the green fields and trees. Eric and the staff were very friendly, gave us all the info we needed and made us feel very welcome.
Central location, Genial, helpful host Ray couldn't do enough for us. He was the guintessential host. Housekeeping lady from Ukraine, meticulous service.
I would thoroughly recommend the Square Townhouse.
Beautiful setting in lovely grounds and very peaceful.
Friendly staff who accommodated late check in!
Comfy bed and quiet setting led to the best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel for a long time.
Nice hotel. Large rooms, plenty of space and a good sized TV with all the Irish and UK channels. It's a bit off the beaten track but quiet as a result and I didn't hear a thing all night.
