The room was comfortable and the bed and pillows were also very comfortable. The view from the restaurant was spectacular. We didn’t pay extra for the view from our room. Breakfast was good and dinner in the restaurant the night before was good although the menu was limited and the service was a little slow.
Spectacularly located on the waterfront in the historic town of Kinsale. The hotel is privately owned with a friendly, yet professional atmosphere

Good location in town. Bathroom/shower was good and all clean (Room 4) Ok for our one night stay as we only had a small bag and managed (luckily) to move the car to free parking at the top of steps.

The experience was amazing. The management gave us an ungraded room as it was a special occasion. This was a wonderful surprise for us.
The staff were very friendly and took interest in the people staying. They were also very helpful. I even got a lesson on how to use the nespresso machine.
I would definitely go back to the Old Bank. The location was excellent for all amenities in the town of Kinsale.

A nice enough little place but exceptionally busy with Tourists, often from Cruise Ships. Parking was a nightmare and Toilets are like Hens Teeth. One hour here is more than enough. I can't really recommend it for anything except wasting a bit of time.

Kinsale is a cute little town. Beware. Not easy to drive in. Good place to spend a few days.We used it as a base for going to Mizen head, Baltimore and other places south of Cork.
Also note, and this is very common in Ireland, don't get up a the crack of dawn and expect to find a place open for breakfast. A few opened at 8 but more often opened at 9 and even 10. Earlier than 9 were few and far between. Those that are tend to be crowded for obvious reasons.

It was disastrous, my wife decided to go down the town for a walk around as she was walking she noticed foreigners watching her every move and they then started to pair up and follow her, she felt so threatened that she had to go into spar shop and wait for me to collect her. Would never visit there again.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away.
Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away. There are several excellent restaurants where you will have unforgettable experiences. The Black Pig and Finns Farmcut are amazing. Breakfast can be hit or miss, The Lemon Leaf and OHK were excellent. If the weather allows the walk out to Charles Fort is lovely, with a pint of Murphy’s at the Bulmans. The views at the Old Head of Kinsale are breathtaking, and Garretstown Beach is stunning. The tour and tasting at Kinsale Mead is fascinating and a unique highlight. Be careful choosing where to stay, as standards are not reflected by star ratings, and the centre can be noisy. Parking is challenging with two hour max at the central car park, better at SuperValu but you’ll need to move your car overnight.
nice clean bright room. We overlooked a childrens playground which was quite noisy. The location is brilliant, and can walk to the centre in a few minutes. On the night of arrival we didnt eat out. There was a chipper a couple of doors up (Dino's) Would go back just for their fish and chips. Weather was lovely. We had a wedding in the Trident Hotel, which was on the doorstep so a very enjoyable experience in Kinsale.
Spacious bedroom with super king bed and plenty of comfy pillows! Breakfast was grand- excellent kippers! Staff were super friendly and helped us immensely, when we had a minor accident with a wheel. They were great with our small dog, and offered advice about walks etc Hotel has easy parking and is a short distance to the town.
The breakfast was top class and served. Our room was v spacious and spotlessly clean. Everything was explained covid wise when we checked in and we felt v safe there. It was v well done. If we needed anything extra, which we didn't, we were told not to hesitate to ask. As its a small hotel it was v personable which was lovely.
A lovely room with an amazing view of the harbour. Spacious bathroom with separate shower. Excellent location and very friendly staff. I will definitely recommend the Trident hotel
