Lough Lein was absoloutely outstanding. Paul and Annette were the perfect hosts. The hotel itself is so welcoming and spotlessly clean. The room we had was large and had the most beautiful views of the lake. The room was spotless. The breakfast had so much choice and the cooked breakfast was gorgeous.

Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lough Leane, colourful Killarney is a top Irish tourist destination. The UNESCO-listed Killarney National Park surrounds Muckross House, a stately home sitting in large grounds with a traditional farm.
A tree-lined lane leads to Muckross Abbey, a former Franciscan monastery whose cloisters enclose a tall yew tree. Celtic crosses line the cemetery and beyond is the lake, at the centre of which is a tree-lined outcrop, home of the historic Ross Castle. This 15th-century stone fortress once housed the O’Donoghue clan, one of whom reportedly lives at the bottom of the lough.
More legends envelop the Ring of Kerry – a scenic drive starting from Killarney and supposedly the last place to spot a leprechaun. Gushing Torc waterfall is just one of its fantastic sights.
In Killarney itself, horse-drawn carts roam narrow streets whose Irish pubs offer great nightlife. Impressive St Mary’s Cathedral has a towering spire and somewhat dark interior. The local gaelic football team play at Fitzgerald Stadium, and more sports can be enjoyed at Killarney riding stables and the nearby golf and fishing club. There is also a popular racecourse.
Accommodation in Killarney on Booking.com includes 5-star lakeside hotels, B&Bs near the train station and town centre guest houses. All with that trademark Irish hospitality.

Despite being non-smoking, the whole place smells of cigarette smoke, seeped into the curtains and carpets. Even worse, I couldn't open the window because there's a bar below (they do warn you about this, specifically the noise) but they let everyone smoke right outside the doors so there's a non-stop stream of smoke drifting into your room at night. No 10m from an entrance observed here unfortunately.
Also, I specifically booked the room with the spa bath, and the there was no plug for it, so effectively useless. Also, there's no desk to go to sort thing like this out after hours.

English: Killarney it's a beautifull town, I came there only for few days because I had Irish Citizenship ceremony there. It was amazing experience, so many shops, restaurants, pubs, people, interesting places, I really miss this place, I have a feeling I will come back to that place.

There is so much to see and do around Killarney.
There is so much to see and do around Killarney. We spent our two full days there exploring the Dingle Penninsula and the Ring of Kerry. That left us an afternoon and a few hours to explore the town and Park. We walked a lot and saw as much as we could, but would have loved to have more time there. The are several bars and resturants, which were all good. I would say, we were there over the first weekend in June. We did not realize that this was a holiday weekend. It is also the weekend of The BikeFest. The town is incredibly busy that weekend. Crowds were happy and there was no problems, just very busy.

Killarney is an absolute stay to do the ring of Kerry.
Killarney is an absolute stay to do the ring of Kerry. Very touristy but the prices are reasonable for drinks and food. The town centre is lively at night with plenty of places to eat and drink and shops to buy anything you require, highly recommend.

Killarney National Park, Gap of Dunloe drive wonderful and beautiful. Town had lots of great restaurants, pubs and shops. Visit Muckross house, Ross Castle, Ring of Kerry drive or tour.
Definitely, should be a stop on any Ireland tour.
We stayed here three nights during a 2-week trip to Ireland. It was my favorite place of them all. It was clean and comfortable and quiet. Parking at the sister hotel (Killarney Park) was a breeze. The staff was friendly. The AC worked (we were there during a hot spell.) The room had a luxurious feel that was awesome. They even had one American-style outlet for our convenience! I would definitely stay here again even though the cost was at the very high end of what I would pay. The location was really convenient to the city center as well.
This was our second stay at the Arbutus. The hotel is well located in the town centre, near the railway station. The public rooms are beautiful, traditional interiors in Georgian style, with elements of Celtic ornamentation. There are numerous examples of 'Killarney furniture' in the hotel, a distinctive form made of locally-growing arbutus wood with marquetry inlay. The hotel bar has the character of a tradtional Irish pub with some excellent decor, including an art deco fireplace. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Everything was awesome with this B&B. The staff was amazing, the breakfasts were the best, the location was perfect-within walking distance to everything in the town center... the beds were OK. They were good for every other bed we have come across in Ireland. I feel that Ireland needs to discover memory foam...all mattresses we have found in our three week stay here have all been spring mattresses. So as far as spring mattresses go, this bed was comfortable.
Me and my three best friends stayed at the Failte and we loved it. The hotel had such a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were so helpful and kind. The views from the room and the location in town were perfect. We walked through the national park to see Ross Castle, and had dinner and listened to live music at O’Donoghue. We also used the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour to visit the Muckross house. It was an amazing stay in Killarney, we definitely recommend it.
i stayed in multiple places over the week I was in Ireland. This was by far the best hotel of them all. it’s in the center of town right next to the park. it was the cheapest and yet have more to offer then the others. they provided free parking the hotel also has a spa and the hotel was immaculate. i would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Killarney national park. Highly recommend the downtown seafood, just make sure you make reservations.
The Lake is our favorite hotel in Ireland. Beautiful room, amazing view of the lake and Castlelough, wonderful food in thte bistro.
Quiet, peaceful place even when fully booked. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff is friendly and attentive.
This would be a good “home base” for a number of hiking and driving days in County Kerry, adjacent to the nearby national park, Killarney and Kenmare.
The hotel itself is a beautiful old style building located close to Killarney Town centre which is about a 10 minute walk away.
The breakfast is excellent and there are plenty of options to choose from.
The hotel staff are excellent, all were extremely helpful and friendly making you feel really welcome.
Killarney is a beautiful town and I would highly recommend a stay at Earls Court House.
On arrival the staff very welcoming and helpful, the hotel was highly clean and inviting, the room was ideal, spacious and extremely comfotable, and more then i expected for price. The meals were exceptional especially thecbreakfast inclusive. The amenities and club vitae were of very good to hight standard and it was close to town centre a 5 min taxi at most. Very satisfied
Staff are amazing: friendly, helpful! Location could not be better! Right at the Flesk Bridge, 10 minutes walk from town centre (so no need to drive to get dinner), close to the national park.
Breakfast room overlooks the river, breakfast has the best view!!
We had a great stay in this cute town house. The kitchen facilities were very good and we enjoyed having a smart TV to keep our toddler busy. The location is very convenient and within walking distance to the town centre. We hope to stay again.
This was the best stop on our trip to Ireland. The room was classy, clean, and comfortable. The location just outside of town made for quiet evenings and easy parking. The pub downstairs was awesome! The staff was also super friendly.
Very well presented hotel. Made very welcome and helpful on local directions and places to go. Would highly recommend. Few miles from town centre which offers cheap parking or short taxi ride
Wonderful location, attentive staff, multiple restaurants, and a solid spa add up to a great home base for exploring western Ireland and the ring of Kerry.
