Murphys Glamping Pod, hotel in Clonakilty

Situated in Cork and only 17 km from Lisellen Estates, Murphys Glamping Pod features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. This apartment features a garden.

Pod was clean and tidy. The description of the property is misleading. No privacy as the pod is at the front of the hosts garden. Kids and dogs playing in the garden beside the pod. The host also requests a further 20 euro for use of the hot tub. This is unacceptable as the pod is already far too expensive for the night stay.

Clonakilty was recommended to us by a friend as she had visited with family on a holiday. Loved this little seaside town, which had plenty to offer in the way of things to see and do. We could easily have spent a few days here happily, relaxing or looking for a bit to get out and do. I feel that as travellers on an international trip, it gave us a great opportunity to experience what I saw as the real Ireland - a true little town which held such history and a passion for its people. Would recommend anyone to go and spend some time there.

I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.

Great town with lots of pride and several fun cultural experiences. The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitors Center was great. The Clonakilty Distillery is a great tour and tasting experience. The downtown is cute and walkable. The people are kind and it's central to many great communities nearby.

Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!

Lovely quaint old world charm town.

Lovely quaint old world charm town. Very colourful and clean. Great selection of shops and information of things to see and do in the area. Take the train for a tour around the town for all ages. Lovely location as a base for exploring deeper into west Cork or just relaxing in one of the many beaches in the area. If you get the weather there is no place to beat this part of Ireland.

Fun, friendly town, with lots of cute pubs and really good restaurants. Great taxi service, Nial Johnson has electric luxury cars for regular price, really fun. Dinner at Camus with guest chef, Caitlin Ruth was amazing. You don't need a car, bus goes all the way to cork and past Skibbereen.

A stunning location overlooking the ocean with a luxury contemporary feel, all wrapped up with a wholesome family welcome. The food was top class, especially when you could walk and visit their herb, fruit, veg and flower garden the following morning and see where so much of the produce came from. As a seasoned traveller this hotel is a new top 5 in Ireland on my list. They even posted my my charger which I left behind the following day (free of charge !) You can’t beat a Irish family run business.

Absolutely beautiful property inside & out. the park-like surroundings made it feel so private and relaxing. The cottage was wonderful. The owners have gone to great lengths to create a clean, comfortable environment for your stay. Cottage #4 has a comfortable bed, step-in shower, well equipped kitchen & sofa to watch the large flat screen TV. I enjoyed my stay completely. I just wish I’d been able to use the swimming pool, but it just never happened. The pool & patio area are very inviting.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Emmet Hotel. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The staff were very helpful. There was a lovely girl on reception when we checked in. I can't remember her name but she should be commended for her efforts. She gave us information about the local area which we really appreciated and she was very friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Quaint hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Rooms were old fashioned but spotless. Bathroom was sparkling. Everything you needed was provided in the room including biscuits for your tea. Didn’t eat in the bar but breakfast included was nice. Staff were really lovely. Very central as it’s on the Main Street. Would definitely stay here again. Don’t let the 2 stars put you off.

Friendly hosts, very comfortable bed, spacious room and great shower! Great location for us with a car as it was 2 minutes into Clonakilty town centre, and easy access to the beach and other towns. Breakfast was delicious with many options available, you definitely won’t starve! Fantastic coffee as well. Thank you Bernie!

It is more of a hotel than a bed-and-breakfast, although breakfast was included. The food was good. It’s a bar and restaurant downstairs that seems to have a great lunch and dinners too, although we didn’t get a chance to try them.
