You would need a car to take full advantage of all the area has to offer if you intend a long stay but there are plenty of on site activities and a number of short and medium walks from the hotel itself.
It is good to explore the different dining options available. The Hunted Hog offers a varied and delicious menu that is very reasonable

The hotel, location, staff, and facilities were fantastic. The only issue was that we booked a room with a double bed and received a room with 2 singles pushed together. A bit of a dampener to our getaway.

I was there for the Art and Soul exhibition and it was really enjoyable. The hotel is very well appointed using high quality materials all over. The attention to detail, the large rooms, the service and the beautiful grounds made this a very enjoyable visit. Would recommend.
We were given a room at the top of the stairs which was fine but listening to the noise from the bar area on both friday and saturday night kept us awake till 3 /4 am..(weddings both nights) Your manager kindly refunded us one night for which I was grateful . I wouldnt visit your premises on a weekend again. I would recommend that you only keep wedding guests on these nights so as other paying guests are not disturbed. Staff were very pleasant throughout our stay .
The grounds of the hotel were excellent. Lovely walks beautiful buildings and art works. The room was a good size with lovely en-suite. The bed was very comfy and the hotel restaurant excellent. You need to book a table if dining in the restaurant or the Hunted Hog as both book out quickly. The Gold Club which is within walking distance also serves good food in their restaurant.
Fantasic stay at beautiful Castlemartyr, beautiful room, gorgeous room, fantastic staff, Sam in particular and Kevin in the restaurant were so so kind to us, they made out stay even more special, we were on our honeymoon and got a lovely sweet treat on arrival, our room was divine, pure luxury 😍
Had a fantastic stay here for 4 nights. Came from Donegal for a wedding. Anna had everything setup for us, very helpful.
The grounds of castlemartyr and the Lodges within it are top class. If I come back to cork again I will sure look to book back in.
the entire resort was gorgeous. The options for dining and choices for dinner were very good. The breakfast was great. The bar in the manor house was absolutely beautiful. The trip into the 'Hunted Hog' tavern and pub dinner offering was excellent..
Staff were very accomodating and the room was very big and well appointed. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. It was nice to learn about the histroy of the hotel. Many things to do nearby. Would definitely come back.
The development and location the lodges are set on is beautiful & green - with a luxury restaurant / bar at the hotel on site, a driving range and few other activities.
The location is amazing , so peaceful and quiet. The staff at the hotel and Anna and Andy were wonderful. Such a special place. I loved it. Thank you. Xx
