House was in a beautiful location in Connemara with beautiful views. The room was newly renovated and spotless, beds were very comfy . The host had an area upstairs outside our room with a couch and tv and a coffeemaker and hot chocolate which was something both myself and son really enjoyed. A home away from home....The host was v friendly and v welcoming. Continental breakfast was available for us the following morning. I told the host I was coeliac which she kindly accommodated me with fresh fruit, yogurts and gluten free breads which I was delighted with.
We were visiting our daughter attending the gaeltacht so was ideal for this purpose or if you are touring Connemara.
I felt that the photos online didn't do the property justice. It definitely exceeded our expectations. I thought that every effort was made by the host to have everything 100%. We felt that we had come across a really lovely place and will definitely be returning.

The communal facilities were very clean and kept in good condition, we slept in a tent which I would recommend! The staff was exceptional, they were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable!
On the site of the former Clifden Railway Station, Clifden Station House offers well-appointed bedrooms and self-catering apartments. There is a pool and Connemara National Park is a 15-minute drive.

On the edge of beautiful, scenic Connemara and with magnificent sea views over Ardbear Bay, this charming hotel offers individually decorated en suite rooms and a superb award-winning restaurant.

Location was very scenic. Maybe a little too far from Clifden, as walking was impractical. Entrance/ exit was on a dangerous curve on a busy road.
Carna is a beautiful often overlooked part of Connemara.
Carna is a beautiful often overlooked part of Connemara. Its just so tranquil. The locals are so friendly and kind. The views everywhere are stunning from the mountains, to the sea, to the beaches, to the lakes and all the wonderful wildlife.

Beautiful place, not much to do apart from walk and watch the wildlife. One pub which had a christening on the day I visited so stuck in the hotel once it went dark. It was November so not the ideal time as limited daylight

The location and scenery were fantastic as was the host Susie. From a covid hygiene point of view I couldn't fault it and seeing Susie sanitising the other units left me in no doubt that we were perfectly safe. I can't wait to book and go again.

Nice quiet area.. there is a lovely beach about 8 mins in a car.. restaurant in the hotel was perfect for food on both nights.. there doesn’t appear to be anywhere else to eat there..Kylemore abbey about 40 mins away is worth going to see but make sure you get there before 4 as it closes entry at that time..

The cottage was right on the ocean.
The cottage was right on the ocean. Our host came to meet us at a nearby restaurant to guide us to the cottage. The amenities were amazing- free wi-fi, tv with net-flix, a variety of groceries in the cupboard, comfortable furnishings. It provided an authentic experience. Wonderful.

There was nothing to dislike.
It was a quiet area but we travelled to other places on the Wild Atlantic Way as we travelled by car
From the coast to the mountains the scenery was beautiful.
The food is fabulous, you will look forward to every meal. Its a real family run welcoming hotel where every detail is looked after.
Spotlessly clean.
Fantastic powerful shower even though it looked old
Amazing local beaches for safe swimming.
Great for walks and relaxing.
Its marked 3 star but its a 5 star 3 star.
We can't wait to return for 3rd time.
Everything from the staff to the food our room the quietness and the price absolutely nothing I could point out that was bad. We think the girls name was Aoife she was so nice she couldn't of been more friendly and welcoming 10 stars. Stayed in a 4 star hotel in galway city and it hasn't got a patch on the Carna bay hotel
Very friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome with our little dog. (This was our first time to take our dog away with us) It truly is a pet friendly hotel!
The food here is fabulous. Delicious, decent portions, and beautifully presented.
The Guinness is good 👍👌.
